Remo 13" CS Clear

A staple

I've used Remo CS batter heads since the 1980's with some exceptions where I have gone to pinstripes for the even more controlled sound. An open, but yet controlled classic head. Recommended for all.

This drumhead has unique sound so be careful for what are you buying it. For me, its useful on rock music with rock dimension toms (bigger toms) to bring that attack in the mix. High quality and durable drumhead from REMO!

A nice choice for toms.

I am currently using the clear Controlled Sounds top and bottom on my rack tom. Having previously used EC2's and coated Vintage Ambassadors, I find these heads to be a perfect middle ground- more open and resonant than the EC2's, but with more attack and projection than the Ambassadors.

These heads perform well tuned both high and low, although I find lend themselves best to medium/lower ranges for that classic, growling rock tone. Essential if you love the drum sounds of the 70's..!

Due to the reinforced dot on top of the head, these should last longer than a traditional single ply choice, and mine still sound great after three months of regular playing.
