Flimsy
This mic stand will come in handy as a last resort but it really isnât ideal as a main go-to stand. The angle joint doesnât tighten easily enough to support the weight of a standard mic. Overall the stand feels flimsy.
Not professional at all
I wouldn't trust this stand to do the job for professional applications. It's kinda flimsy and it's quite unstable. I wouldn't put anything expensive on its end. The main pole still moves a bit even when fully tightened. The boom joint also doesn't really go tight and can't hold heavier mics. The cables are also cheap made out of cheap cable. It's unruly when being coiled. Tried breaking it in but still won't become soft. The connectors are neutrik knockoffs.
Go for it
Good quality for the price
Microphone Stand + Long Cable for affordable price - yes please!
I have zero complaints about this product, for it's price - it's made very, very well. I ordered it with SM57 and pop-filter, it holds them well, however, when you hook up a weightier mic, it might have a little difficulties handling it, but for my intended purposes it works good.
Not recommended, the stand is very flimsy and doesn't have a tight grip on the height.
It's just bad
The cable is OK but the stand I would not recommend. It falls over holding the lightest mics, I guess it's OK if you just want it to stand straight but any bend and it stars falling over unless you over-tighten it and finally ruin it soon.
Light, but not stable if you need for overheads for drums for example.
The cable is nice
Bought this one because needed a mike cable and a mike stand would be a nice extra. The price for the complete package was not much higher then the price of a cable alone. Well the cable is okay. The stand is of very low quality. With my AKG mike the stand very easily tumbles over. The joints cannot be set tight, so the whole contraption is very wobbly. I shall only use it at home being very carefull. Do not use this on stage or everywhere with others around. A new mike is too expensive to risk it.
Get what you pay for
I haven’t used it that long, so perhaps time will be the real judge. This came as a combo with the Shure SM58 and was about the same price at the time as the microphone by itself. The construction seems pretty flimsy, and despite not having tried, I don’t think this would stand up to any professional use. For a practice setup in a home studio it’s probably fine.
Great mic stand
for little money, a great microphone stand
