Bought these and the difference is so huge! Playing with your fingers makes also a special sound...but even more, with mallets you get such a clear and high volume! The whole room resonates with it. Highly recommend to invest in it! And learn to play with mallets and thumbs. :)

I've always been doubtful about the quality of sound I am able to achieve with double-ended mallets. These ones have changed my mind. I have so many fast changes from vibes to glock on my current show that it would go catastrophically wrong so often without these. The weight and balance for both ends is fantastic and almost fools you into believing you are playing with regular mallets. The vibes end sounds harder than perhaps you'd like to start with but with some decent playing they wear into a really lovely set. Has saved my stress a lot and given me to touch and character I want to strive for that perfect sound in an imperfect world of stick changes!

These double ended sticks are great - the drumstick end is very comfortable and useable as a 5A stick, and the felt end is not too heavy or too hard like some other brands. Great for cymbal rolls and soft tom-tom sounds. I've bought these before for my school band and now I have some for my own use.

If you have / need a pair of mallets in your stick bag, why wouldn't you have a pair that you can flip over to use on the drums?! As mallets they're pretty soft, but they're perfectly adequate for producing a nice cymbal swell. As sticks they're a bit light for my taste; they feel like a 7A to me. But you wouldn't want to use them as sticks full time - the felt gets in the way a bit and the shaft feels like a softwood, so they probably wouldn't last too long as full-time sticks. In my perfect world, these would have hickory shafts and slightly firmer felts; in this world, I'll take the flexibility.

Nice multi-functional mallet's for cymbals and drums. Opposite end is a drumstick for quick change's. Fairly hard felt, produces nice cymbal swells and for drum work too. Good quality, feels good and will last for years. Well worth the spondookie's. Declan Campion Drums
