Different but
I’d never tried playing with sticks made from hornbeam so this was a bit of an ’experiment’.
These were unlaquered and at first I thought they’d be slipping out of my hands a lot.... but no!
The 5B Hornbeam ”naturals” felt slightly wider than the usual 5Bs I go for (ProMark, Vic Firth, Wincent) and this was a good thing.... also a touch lighter.
A huge plus is the cost : so much cheaper than the other brands and so far, they seem to last.
