Just perfect
A must have cymbal for Roland V drum sets
Love the size of it, adds great looks to the drum set
Love it
Best ride for Roland Octapad.
The Roland Octapad is a great percussion instrument but if you want the real feel of a cymbal program the cymbal pad(s) for another sound or effect and search no more: the CY-13RBK is a superb electronic cymbal; not too big, not too small and it swings like your acoustic ones.
Welcome addition to my Roland TD 17KV setup
The overall cymbal quality is great, which is to be expected from most Roland hardware. Nicely weighted and balanced to mimic an acoustic ride cymbal. The only caveat I would highlight is the Bell portion which requires a bit of a thump to properly trigger, however if you're playing mainly rock style sets, you'll quickly get the hang of it.
Great cymbal at this price point.
It's ok.
Got this one to go with my TD-17KV.
Huge upgrade over the standard cymbal pads that come with the kit. (This one comes standard with the TD-17KVX).
It plays well and has a nice swinging motion when you loosen the nut a bit if you like that sort of thing.
My one problem with this is the bell trigger. It's kind of unrealiable, It seems to be a common problem with the Non-digital Roland rides. Sometimes I need to smack it really hard for the bell to trigger, I also feel the trigger spot is very specific.
All in all still a good purchase.
GREAT PRODUCT AND CUSTOMER EXPERIENCED
Hi ordered this product and it was not available for sometime, but the customer service is very approachable that answered all of my queries. Giving me an update status on the item. I was so surprised that we got the item earlier than the expected date. Great work guys.
Great natural feel/response cymbal
This cymbal is the first roland cymbal that I bought (I have played with the top drum product lines from them for years).
The response is exceptional and almost feels like an acoustic cymbal swinging when you play with it. All the zones are picking up the strokes properly with no mistriggering noticed even when choking the cymbal.
I am currently using it with my Millenium MPS-750 set and I had only minor setting up issues (mostly for the choke function) when using drum software like Superior Drummer 3 and Addictive Drums 2 which I resolved. The price is not low but I consider it quite reasonable.
Seriously I was blown away by the natural response, playability and triggering accuracy of this cymbal. unreservedly recommend it if in need of e-cymbals. I currently plan to buy a couple more of these.
Digital like the Real World
With Roland drum products, I have discovered that the relalistic feeling of digital pads and cymbals are important for your way of playing.
If you play on a small stiff rubber pad, you need to overcome the pad's short comings and that draws away your attention from playing.
If you have a Cymbal like the CY-13R that has a normal size and a motion pattern as a real metal cymbal, you can devote yourself to the playing.
After all, it is the music that is the focus.
This is a very good product.
Fantastic Cymbal
Great Cymbal that works perfectly as a ride allowing bell bow and edge sounds. The triggering is very good and feels very realistic. Would recommend this to any drummers with electronic kits
Roland quality
I have a TD-11K and this is a great upgrade to add a ride with a bell.
The build quality is great, as you'd expect from Roland. It comes with labelled cables to connect to the drum module and a nut and foam ring for securing it to a cymbal arm.
It's full rubber in comparison to the standard cymbals, which makes it a bit heavier, but doesn't really affect playability.
