Removed all noise from my audio chain

I was having problem with a constant noise introduced by the USB sockets on my MacBook Pro through to the Pioneer DDJ-400 console and out of the RCA output. Tried everything else, from removing the power adapter, to a new USB cable with ferrite cores, to completely different audio cables. Nothing worked. After I introduced the HE in the chain, right after the DDJ, no more noise!
