Rotosound - if you want the best strings for your bass

These strings give clarity and sparkle to your playing.

They last long (relative for each person) but I use them for funk, slap and fun time. I chance them every 4 months. (but you can play much longer with them if you require)

Great set of strings, but the feel...

Great sound as you'd expect from Rotosound strings, but the feel of them onfder the fingers left me unsatisfied. They're really hard, so be prepared... Overall, I still prefer Fenders or Ernieball

good for tapping

I was looking for strings supporting my play and techniques. This set show the typical sound of stainless steel strings. The high notes sound very bright and the mids are very crisp. Only the b-string lacks in sound because it is not thick enough. This string is quite mellow. I bought the "swing bass" strings especially to improve my tapping sound. I think that this their strength. The light gauge makes it easy to produce bright tones. But the strings are also great for plucking with fingers. Though I nerver tried picking. The sound of the strings goes down normally. The grip is good, the player won't chip his skin.

good strings - short life

These are great string but the sharp hi end tone does disappear very quickly and you are left with dead sounding strings

so defo a good buy if you are are a person who changes strings regularly to keep that fresh sound or a player who likes to quickly obtain that more dead sound

not good if you like a long lasting consistent tone

if you are after a longer lasting tone string then i would sugest R. COCO or DR strings

also i have found that using this gauge of stings (40s compared to 45s) is much easier on the hands (especially when playing longer gigs) with out much loss of warmth.
