I have fitted S hoops on all my kit and i love them. The only hoop causing me trouble is the snare side one.

I'm not able to tune the resonant head, the hoop touches it. I have a Pearl Chad Smith signature. The snare doesn't work in this configuration.

I don't know if the problem comes from the hoop or the snare construction.

So i put back the original hoop for the resonant head only, kept the S on top and the snare is amazing.

4 starts because i don't know where the problem comes from: Pearl / S Hoop.

Looking forward to trying it on another snare drum.

The build quality is very good.

Best hoop ever

I bought it for my Mapex Black panther brass snare and its perfect!

it cuts of that annoying Hi frequency and now may snare sounds great and warm like it should without any extra muffing on resonant head...
