Great cymbals set
Expensive but worth the price. I play mostly indie rock with a big focus on atmosphere and was looking for big cymbals that have a dark and deep sound. The crash is amazing, and so is the ride. The bell of the ride is really impressive. I can't say much on the hit hat, I feel I havent played on many other hit hat to see a big difference.
Great sounding cymbals!
Great sounding cymbals! however my only complaint is that when I received these cymbals there was slight marks on them upon removing the packaging besides this everything about this cymbal set is great.
What an upgrade! Smooth darkness
I bought this set as an upgrade from a low-end Zildjian set. I wanted something darker, and at least 15" hi-hats.
The choice was between this Sabian HHX Complex set and the Zildjian K Sweet set, but I finally chose to go with the Sabians. And I have no regrets!
The sound is deep and dark, but still a bit loud. I'm especially pleased with the 15" hi-hats! They also look so fantastic.
The only negative thing, I can think of right now, is that after only playing for two days, there is a lot of stick marks on the cymbals - but, that's not really an issue for me.
