Zildjian K-Custom Darkbox Set
Based on 13 reviews
I had been researching cymbals for a while and decided to go with these to start off my more higher quality cymbal setup. The cymbals quality is fantastic and they sound great, the sound is quite dark but has a lot of volume and richness to it, a very well made cymbal which fits easily into most styles, but be careful! Don't just buy the cymbals for the brand. The cymbals have a very specific sound which not everyone would like. The hi-hats I got for instance are very dark and the 16" crash is also dark; but I personally love that sound and i think it's great. I looked into tons of different cymbals and tried most of them out in person, and so I would suggest doing the same thing before buying this set if possible. The price is quite high, but is immediately justified when you see...
Meinl Byzance Thomann Edition Set
Based on 6 reviews
The 14" Hi-Hats are amazing and worth every penny, especially in this pack and at these prices. Crisp and dark with that stunning finish. 10/10 The 16" Byzance Vintage Crash sounds good and mixes well with the other cymbals in the pack. 8/10 The 18" Sand Thin Crash is another great cymbal. Beautiful sound with a fairly short decay and lovely definition. Sounds good to ride too. 9/10 The 20" Sand Ride has a lovely wash to it but never lacks definition. It also has the best bell sound I've played. This cymbal is great for various styles of play and can easily cope with the rigours of jazz, funk or rock. 10/10 This pack is incredible value at this price (almost every other site is £1000 or more for a similar set) and as always the shipping was perfect. Highly recommended.
Meinl HCS Thomann ltd. Cymbal Set
Based on 5 reviews
These cymbals are not only inexpensive but of high quality. The coating on them does chip a bit, and the wear is easily shown, but they are heavy duty and built to last for a very long time. I play hard rock/heavy metal, and there's no denting, cracking, or anything like that on them. They are very responsive and sound awesome, I am very pleased with them, a great set for a great price! . I feel that I can use them for professional gigs, maybe upgrade with a couple added cymbals. I am pleased with my purchase and the fast delivery service!
Zultan Dark Matter Cymbal Set
Based on 5 reviews
They sound amazing, sharp and dry. The bell on the 16 crash is the stuff of angels, and the ride is perfect for jazz with its dark sound and wash. In case you want a brighter ping, nylon sticks work wonderfully, though I believe regular old wooden sticks are still the best fit. The package came with a bag, where I keep my old cymbals, and a free 10" splash, which has quickly become my favorite cymbal of all. I cannot recommend this set of cymbals enough, and I can't wait to try out the rest of the family (the stacks and the china, to be more precise). Wonderful price-quality ratio too.
Meinl Byzance Mike Johnston Set
Based on 3 reviews
The Meinl Mike Johnston cymbal box set contains a variety of Byzance models that he chooses for his standard set up when conducting lessons and performing. Included in this box are a pair of 14" Byzance Extra Dry Medium Hi-Hats, 20" Byzance Extra Thin Hammered Crash, 21" Byzance Mike Johnston Signature Transition Ride, plus a free 18" Byzance Extra Dry Thin Crash. These cymbals deliver a musical blend of dark and dry attack with a short, trashy wash. The 14" Extra Dry hi hats have a full-bodied and distinctive "chick" sound. The 20" Extra Thin Hammered Crash serves great as both a big crash and a light ride. At the heart of the setup is the Mike Johnston signature Transition ride cymbal. This cymbal is designed to respond with the perfect transition...
Sabian AAX Promo Cymbal Set
Based on 3 reviews
Having spent hours listening to YouTube comparisons and samples of the AAX line and Zildjian A custom, the AAX were just crisp and precise with minimal overtones to my ear and that was the sound I wanted. The quality of these cymbals is absolutely top notch, and good value for money. The crash cymbals in particular really cut through with their brightness. If there is a weakness in the set, it’s the ride. As others have noted the bell is a bit weak, and according to Sabian website intentionally small. The design is to make the cymbal more crashable, but not the way I will use it personally. I’ve added the 10” splash and planning for the ozone crash and aero splash soon. If you are looking for a quality starter pack of cymbals to build from, you won’t find many...
Meinl Byzance Sand Set Benny Greb
Based on 2 reviews
I've been a fan of Benny Greb for many years now and have always loved the sound of his cymbals. When searching for new high-end cymbals Meinl was my first and almost only choice right from the beginning. I went through many different cymbals but always seemed to come back to this set (I have to mention that I did not get to try these cymbals out in person since it's not possible in my country). This set seemed to work together really good. After playing for a while here is my opinion on the set. Sound: 1) 14" Hi-hats - they sound really crisp and are very responsive to smallest input. They aren't loud but work really well in heavier music. 2) 18" crash - very responsive. As Benny says - it opens up quickly even when played with hands - and that's true! The bell sound is...
Zildjian K Sweet Cymbal Pack
Based on 2 reviews
I have never purchased a cymbal pack before, but after hearing these on some of the stages I've played on, I had to add them to my lineup. They are extremely versatile with a remarkable sound. The matching of the cymbals as a set out of the box was excellent! As a set, they gel together so well. The bigger sizes are a game changer: I don't think I'll ever return to 14" Hi-Hats after this. I haven't used any of my other cymbals since buying this pack! Versatile. Clear Cutting. Easy to mix. VERSATILE!
Sabian HHX Complex Promo Set
Based on 2 reviews
I needed a few rehearsals to "learn" how to hit these cymbals and for my ear to like them. They're not bad in any way, just too different from my other set (AAX). I like the HH the most, very articulate dynamic and somewhat quiet (in a good way!). The ride is not super suitable for crashing (which I like a lot), the bell is a little smaller and quieter comparing to my AAX, but overall it sound very nice. The crashes are faster and quieter than the AAX and have something like chorus effect built in - very interesting, not in any bad way. I play rock/metal and although I think this set is more suitable for jazz (I guess, I don't play jazz) I think it's very good for all kind of music actually. Definitely happy that I bought the set! :)
Evans dB One Rock Pack C. + Cymbals

awesome product ,,, but,,, not so different from SoundOff mesh head if you put some duck tape on it,,,,so if you already have SoundOff mesh,,,it is not big upgrade.....triggers working awesome....You need to use drum with resonant heads to match sound level of cymbals ...Also to say cymbals have awesome sound for low volume cymbals,,,,maybe 16" Crash cymbal could be little bit more in volume ...but it is ok...sound it is not harsh in any way......just awesome... It is full acustic drum but with low volume.... noise that I measure in the room is 85db ,,,.... TIP: you need to tune to that sweet spot ,,,it is only one spot that sounds awesome,,,not like regular drum with normal heads with many options....for example reso head need to be more down with tune ,,,not so tight like it is on...
