The Saz Cura is the smaller brother of the Baglama which itself hails from the thousands of years old Dotar (or Dutar, really depends on the dialect). Its an instrument of the nomads, it was played in the deserts, on the wide sands, in the forests, the wild steppes, and the mountains. It was played by nomads, sheep herders, warriors, merchants, noblemen. This instrument is virtualy the same with the same workmanship. Fun, small sized saz. Nice clear sound after initial setup and tuning. Good value folk instrument. Build quality is fine for the price. Nice straight neck and the tuning pegs hold the string tension well so far.
