I bought the whole set of four of these to use in a sensory show for people with special needs. The show is about the four seasons - each of these chimes' notes suits a season brilliantly. Aqua for Spring, Ignis for Summer, Aria for Autumn, and Terra for Winter. The quality of the sound is beautiful, clear and precise. I have based the music for each season on the chords they produce. They inspired me to produce more complex chords to accompany them. My wife is a meditation teacher and she wants a set of these too now. We both love them.

Now have the pleasure of owning the 4 Koshi chimes. Aqua was always the favourite of mine but since purchasing Aria I have found that it takes meditation and therapies to a more subtle but deeper altered state. I use the chimes in Sound baths, Sound Therapy sessions alongside Gongs and crystal singing bowls and they all complement each other while raising and then lowering the vibrations. Highly recommend the Aria Koshi chimes to existing sound practitioners as part of their collection or even for anyone simply to listen to. Ideal size and weight for storage , transportation or even just hanging somewhere sheltered but breezy.

The sound of this chime bar is very bright and cutting, excellent for use as an effects piece in an orchestra or theatre. Be warned though, the plastic ties that hold the chimes on aren't strong, I've had to replace a few with bits of string. Other than that it?s easy to set up and use, well balanced and secure at the mounting point. For those wondering, it comes with the chimes attached, you don't have to attach them all yourself as I thought when I ordered. For a reasonable price this chime bar performs well and doesn't look half bad either. Good if you want to expand your percussion set to add some colour to your playing.

An excellent choice for a standard set of chimes, with extra bits included! Treeworks sets the bar for their beautifully made, hand-tied chimes. The sound is excellent, wonderfully controlled, and the product visually looks very high-quality. The bonus that ties everything together is that the dampening bar and case come part of the package, creating an elegant professionalism to the instrument. I use it as part of Theatre, Orchestral, Wind and Brass Band concerts. No more carrying mark trees around in cardboard tubes! Very, very happy with this product and the value!

It sounds exactly as it does in the demo recording. It is decently loud and full-sounding for its size. It's made out of wood and feels very sturdy. The clapper is a piece of coin-shaped plastic. If you intend to use it as a wind chime, however, and you don't have a windy porch to hang it from, it is going to have a hard time ringing in all but the strongest winds. The wind coming through to my small apartment window could barely budge the rather heavy cardboard sail. It is perfect for use as an instrument, which, granted, is its intended use, but unfit for a wind chime. I easily remedied this issue by replacing the cardboard circle sail with a long, narrow cut-out from a regular sheet of A4 paper, like those you would see on Japanese furin chimes. With this modification it works...

I bought these chimes to use with my cajon-based percussion set, and I was not disappointed. I didn't want to spend a fortune and decided to get these based on the overall positive reviews and the very fair pricing. First of all: they look GREAT, and sound as good as they look. For this price I'd be surprised if you can get a hold of any better chimes, and the build quality ensures that they will last for a long time as well. The only negative thing I have to say is that they could have used an extra hole (maybe with a different size?) as the chime holder I had didn't fit - the hole was too small. I'm not sure if this is a standard size and the one I had was bigger than usual, but I needed to buy a new mount anyway so I wont let this affect the score!

I bought it for my newborn baby just before he was born, since I wanted to buy some fun "musical" toys for him.. He is just a few weeks old but I think he likes it. I have hanged it up in the hallway of my apartment and every time I hold him and pass it I draw my hand on it to make the sound and every time my baby boy makes a quick jumping move and turn hes head towards it and has a very suprized and fascinated look on his face in awwh.. So I think he likes it, its like a distraction. A signature sound for him to memorize and recognize from our home. Sometimes when he cries a lot I touch it and then he stops crying for a few seconds as he gets a bit distracted. If lucky he might forget he was crying... hehe Sometimes I take his little hand and touch the chimes with his hand so...

Meinl have an outstanding reputation for their percussion and being part of the Roland company, we know too well how great their products are. However these chimes were a little bit of a disappointment. They're not particularly bright and trying to make them "glissando" is an achievement in itself. Maybe i got one with imperfections, I'm not sure. I still use them for certain projects as they're a unique tone, but they're not the "lively" "shiney" "sparkly " tone i was expecting
