Shiny in more ways than one
A legend and a classic. Prior to the purchase, I had some concerns regarding a possible drop in the unit’s quality compared to the classic model. Fortunately, I had the several-hours’ worth opportunity to compare the 565SD against one of the original Unispheres, and it still holds strong. All vocals, dark or bright, get brought forward with this unit. Satisfyingly clear sound and great handling, especially with all the croony parts in songs. You could basically bite the grill and the unit will just continue to carry your voice and nothing else.
The package itself is rather barebones, though. There’s a box, and then there’s a microphone unit inside (plus warranty information and user manual), and that’s it. I would’ve liked to at least get a mic pouch to go with it, because I’m spoiled that way by this one other company. But I’m far from complaining — the 565SD is not only worth it, it also earned its keep, and then some, and then some yet.
Great Stage Mic
What a difference this has made to my performance and recordings. So great to have a professional level Shure microphone. Well built and solid, with a handy cut off switch. An excellant addition to your collection.
Since I bought this Mic, it has been serving excellently. I love it
