I have been totally captured by the sound quality of these in ear monitors. The single drive performs with balance, control and personality. Sennheiser themselves describe these like "punchy" in ear monitor, but, subjectively, their punchiness is never disproportionate nor too colorful. They got the guts when required and only when required. I'd definitely recommend to replace the silicon tips with the foam ones (included) as they delivered a significant improvement in terms of sound isolation and comfort. And yes, they made in EU.

Ignore that the KSE1200s portability is questionable and just take its sound quality as probably the best you’ll ever hear! Over 50 years I’ve had everything in hifi from valve amps, Krell speakers, top rated over-ears headphones but have finally found my music listening nirvana. These electrostatic in-ears are just wonderful, capturing everything going on in a performance from the beautiful string tone on Jaqueline Du Pre’s Elgar Cello Concerto to Sam Smith’s wonderful vocals. Classical music sound staging and studio vocals are all captured in a way that everything else that I’ve listened to cannot match. My superb Shure 846 in-ears are my everyday portables but when I’m home and really listen then I just connect up my KSE1200s. You can connect via a...

I have tried many IEM, none can satisfy me in all aspects, and finally I got the one. I am using pioneer xdp-300r as source. Pros: The PP8 sounds natural, balance, crystal clear, high resolution. Not too much bass, but just enough. Sound stage is natural too. It is extremely well tuning. It also fits my ear, just like a custom made earphone. Satisfactory build quality. I will not get tire with a long time usage. I think I will not further upgrade my earphone. This one is nearly perfect for me. It?s a very worthy upgrade and recommendation. Cons: It is pricey

Fischer Amps FA-4E XB Grey

These were purchased as an upgrade to the UE Triple.Fi 10's which had served as my primary headphones for the past few years. I've now had the Fischer Amps for the best part of a year so feel ready to review them. I also have ATH-M50's and DT-880 (600)'s for comparison. From the outset it was obvious that FA's were of a better build quality than the UE's. Aside from the logo stickers on the side of the driver shells which fell off within a few days, I've had no reliability issues with these headphones. Even the cables have held up exceptionally well, considering the UE's required a new replacement cable every few months and I'm still on the cable that shipped with the FA's. The FA's are very comfortable, which is a great improvement over the notoriously unergonomic UE's. I can...

Look. If you're a highly professional musician, by all means get these - or even the highly praised SE845 if you're willing to spend that money - i think it's worth it. These ones in particular: the sound is amazingly clear, no distortions, very clear bass, but not a strong base. the sound, while very flat, is very flattering to music files and the earbuds rest comfortably in your ears. I truly believe they'd fit 99% of the ears out there. I've also had a chance to listen to the SE215 and considering the price difference, i'm inclined to say that those earphones sound truly amazing (though not as flat as the 535 if you will use them mostly for monitoring). Can't really find anything wrong with them to be completely honest. Ah...maybe i'd like the nozzle to be metal, since i think...

64 Audio Nio

64 Audio Nio

The Nio are the sleeper hit of the 64 Audio lineup. I currently have U12t and other top of the line iems and to me Nio is certainly up there with the best. The Nio are smooth non fatiguing iems with elevated bass shelf (with m15 module installed) that mostly excel in timbre. It’s also possible to change the sound signature with the other two included apex modules (mx module - more neutral, m20 module - warmer and bassier sound). If you are looking for an iem with a warm smooth non fatiguing sound signature with DD bass and spot on timbre look no further. If you are looking for ultimate details and neutrality in your sound, I would advise to go with the U12t instead. But still I must say that Nio are one of my all time favourite iems.

If you never used in-ear, which I had not until I got these, you should realy try it out. I will never go back to a monitor. I use these mainly with an e-drum kit and find it works great. One big reason for trying in-ear to start with, is that in one band I play all songs to a click track and have to use headphones. They just don´t look alright on stage and a lot don´t cancel noise well enough. You will not have any problems with that with these. Like regular industrial ear plugs these make you not hear what other people are saying but you also talk VERY LOAD :) The sound is great, for being a small unit. Of course bass is not gonna be at par with a nice set of headphones but there´s definitly enough for a pleasant sound. I can turn down the volume a lot because the...

Shure SE425-CL

I tried a friend's SE215s before I bought these and they were literally the best headphones I'd tried, especially for just how much noise they cancelled out. I opted for the SE425s as they were within my price range and I wasn't and remain not disappointed. Despite not having 'noise-cancelling' built in, the fit is incredibly snug and they come with a range of various tips so you can choose whichever option you feel most comfortable with. They do get a bit of getting used to in terms of comfort, purely because most other 'normal' headphones don't go into the ear as much as these do, without buying a set of mouldies, however the SE425s also have a really useful tightening slider which means they remain firmly in place, exactly how you want them to be. A really great set of...

Sennheiser IE 100 Pro Clear

Sennheiser IE 100 Pro Clear

I use these for listening to music and podcasts during the day, In other words: Can't comment on on-stage monitoring performance. Soundwise I can compare to a variety of full-sized headphones. From the usual Suspects, my favorites would be: Sennheiser HD650, AKGk702, Beyer DT250 All these I consider to be fairly neutral (as opposed to e.g. a Sony MDR V6 / MDR 7506 which is nice, but not neutral). The Sennheiser IE 100 Pro appear to be mostly neutral to me, too. Treble is somewhat enhanced as far as I can tell, but not in a dominant way: They are not sibilant and not fatiguing. So soundwise, I am very pleased. They offer a neutral, great sounding picture. Soundstage / Instrument separation is very good for a headphone, especially in-ear phones: The spatial origin of sounds seem to extend...
