A beautiful & rigid all-rounder

Easiest to break the review down into different segments, so here:

DESIGN - everything about the looks of this guitar is insane! I mean, it's a Super Telecaster of sorts! For the ones who are into bulky minimalistic features, it will please your eyes every time you play it. All the elements and curves of the instrument are blended seamlessly. It is worth noting, though, that only the pickguard is in a very icy white color, the rest of the body leans more towards snow/creamy white (more of a personal observation). The chrome pickups, knobs, strings, and tuners add a lot of variety and look amazing next to the all-black neck. It also has glow-in-the-night fret markers and a very cool hollow Solar logo on the 12th fret. It just looks like something out of the cyber future setting!

QUALITY - it is quite heavy and feels so sturdy and resilient. Might need a wider strap for this one. There were a few minute painting errors, as well as a tiny gap in the upper area of the pickguard - but that's pretty much it. The guitar feels amazing out of the box, with no clicky sounds, and no loose pieces. The strings are tensioned well. I was just a bit surprised that the 9V battery casing is just a regular plastic box you'd find on a toy - expected something a bit more quality-like. It is a one-time thing anyway, not worth looking deeply into. Overall, having played it for some time, it has proven to be a durable and quality instrument.

SOUND - the Fishman Fluence Modern pickups are pretty cool. It can shred metal tunes as well as play clean ones very well. It has an interesting knob control, one for the volume, the other for the tune (which pulls out or pushes in depending on your choice of sound), as well as the mode switch. Great sound throughout each string, the top one is quite difficult to mute, though, it is my first 7-string guitar, hence I'm not used to it. I was using BOSS Katana 50 MKII for an amplifier.

TUNING - the Evertune system is a bliss. A simple process of making sure each string is in its compatible - desired - zone, locked through the upper tuning system. Afterward, a bit of fine-tuning goes into the bridge with the included hex key. It holds on well, like a Floyd-Rose would, just without the devious pain of setting it up :).

All in all, I'm in love with it. I see Solar as one of the more innovative and quality-assuring companies out there. If you're looking for something special or uncommon, consider this guitar among others :)
