best boost ever

I use amp distortion so I use only boost pedals, I had dozens but this one is not only the best sounding but the only one that really makes you perceive a "step up" in your tone if you use it to boost a part of a song. Its perfect also if you use it as always on. forget the Storm way too low in headroom, this is the one to have. Only drawback is that its very pricey for a boost pedal but this is THE boost pedal.

It?s a pedal to not turn off

Pros: Very good distortion from the amp

Cons: Change the original tone

Shaffer Replica

I bought Shaffer Replica as I've had an old dream to get that Angus sound on my guitar, even though I'm not playing much AC/DC anymore.

What I can say the sound it produces is great as you probably already heard it on youtube reviews (at least with the gear you would like to use it with). Keep in mind that the power supply pin has to be CENTRE POSITIVE, (12VDC, 2.5mm) as the pedal comes with no instructions and similar stuff where you could check that out.

Shaffer replica comes with it's own power supply, which produces lots of hum. So you should think of getting your own power supply or reversed polarity cable.

Build quality is great, nothing to worry about. I wish its dimensions were smaller, but still managed to fit it to my pedalboard somehow.

It works as a boost and also gives that kind of marshally or AC/DC sound. Besides boost (which at the same time produces that AC/DC sound, overdrive or whatever) you almost can't get any other sounds, so you almost don't have opportunity to experiment much looking for new sounds. It doesn't work well with few of my fuzz pedals as well.

If you're a huge AC/DC or Airbourne fan, this is a must have thing. As a boost I really like it - the sound it produces is great, so if you have some spare Euros to spend, I do recommend Shaffer Vega Replica.
