Sonor AQ2 Bop Set WHP

Wow!

This is an excellent drum kit. I needed something with a slightly smaller footprint and a bit lighter in weight and this done the job perfectly. The 18” kick sounds like a 22”. My band couldn’t believe it. And the maple wood is nice and light. Not to mention it looks fantastic on stage! Top marks!

Love it!

I have just used it in a gig, and it didn't disappoint! At first, the floor tom was a bit high tuned, but I quickly managed to get a deep sound after some tuning, and in general, the kit is sounding great!

I am still getting used to the 18" bass drum as I usually use a 22" bass drum. It does feel like it projects less, but once it was mic'ed up it sounded great! Very happy with my purchase :)

Quality in every respect

I'm a beginner drummer (one year in) and having started on an electronic kit I wanted to move to an acoustic kit. I was looking for something that would last me for a long time, so build / production quality was important to me when choosing. I read lots of product reviews before settling on Sonor and then the AQ2 Bop set as my choice. I'm delighted with this purchase. The AQ2 oozes quality in all of the elements and fittings. It's a great value set and really my only regret is not taking the plunge with this sooner!

An absolute gem

Very impressed with this lovely little Sonor AQ2 Bop kit - 18? Kick, 12?, 14? Toms. Even the 14x6? snare is sounding delicious.

Workmanship is top class. Design of the kit hardware and ergonomics is excellent. Sounds very nice. I cannot fault the kit.

I?ve had near on every kit going, DW Exotic Collectors, Pearl Reference, Recording customs, Maple Customs, Teardrops, Ludwig super classics, Delites, Starclassics, Signia, and many more, I can honestly say this kit edges and for me, just tops, each one of them. Based on build quality, design and ergonomics, sound (though this is easily tweaked on any kit) , looks, and price. There?s absolutely nothing missing from it.

The white marine pearl is beautiful, nicer than the ?60s Slingerland wmp kit I had at one stage. It is a unique pattern, a modern and very tasteful take on the classic.
