Røde has released their podmic in this brilliant white and black. Looking at the specs and listening to the mic, they have tweaked the frequency range of this mic, giving it a more "broadcast" sound. As what you would expect from Røde, the podmic white has a solid feel to it, and built to a very high standard. Priced at intro level, its definitely punching well above that price point. Far more than a "beginner" microphone, the podmic is used on some of the most popular podcasts on the planet. Highly recommended.

Built like a tank, reassuringly heavy. Needs a good sturdy mic stand. Needs lots of gain, I use with an external recorder and a USB interface. I find it needs 90% or more of available gain for a close-miked voice. What it's good for- podcast recording/narrative recording in a fixed location. I haven't used it "on the go", I have lighter dynamic mics which I would use if I was recording on location. You could travel with it, but it wouldn't be the best choice for that purpose. You also will need a pop shield, although the mic has one built-in, it is not 100% effective. You will also need to experiment with mic distance and angle of delivery for best results. For the price it's unbeatable. Apart from the great sound it's very well built and gives reassurance of longevity....

Le micro délivre un son chaleureux comparé au PodMic à qui il est souvent comparé. De plus, ce dernier n'a rien à envier au SM7B qui coûte 3x son prix et requiert beaucoup plus de connaissances techniques et d'investissements matériels pour en tirer profit de la meilleure des façons.
