Great piece of kit

Amazing what this unit can do.

Makes PA work much easier.

For instance. Setting up a monitor sound can be done on a mobile or tablet at the monitor rather than a hit and miss from the desk position.

A myriad of high quality functions included. I loved it while I had it... so much so that I upgraded to the ui24r ... now I control the world.

Excellent and convenient little rack mixer

Not a bad little mixer suitable for a small band setup, the only thing i would say is the fx are a little hissy but to be honest its not noticeable during a show. Otherwise this fully feature desk is great value for money.

Soundcraft Ui16

SOUNDCRAFT Ui16 I found this unit a bit difficult to get connected to the router but apart from that every other aspect of the UI is absolutely brilliant Theres everything on it that you could possibly need for recording or live work The soundcraft tutorials are a massive help All different sections are in different colours

Go Glass Young Man

If you haven't mixed on glass yet, do it. This is a great entry level model with plenty of channels for most 4 piece bands. The interface is reliable and intuitive. I was able to set up a show first time, without reviewing any of the numerous YouTube videos on the subject.

For the price, the UI16 punches way above its weight. I also have a Behringer X18, and there is no comparison. If the X Air series is a PC, the Soundcraft Ui series is a Mac. It's that simple.

love this thing

I use it for a small band and it's brilliant. Setup is very quick (i've used others that fit more into a smaller package and having the a little extra space between inputs and outputs is actually really nice) and the controls (running on an old iPad) are mostly intuitive and the connection to the iPad has been robust - only failed once when left for about 3 hours after setup but turning off an on fixed it.

The size and weight are a huge deal for me and if you're moving over from a traditional desk you'll never look back!

Check the usb options carefully to be sure they meet your needs as i'd say that's the one area they could have done more - It's a shame you can't use it to record multitrack.
