Strong sounding guitar

Really strong signal with the new active pickups with an overall great tone! I have some issues with the input jack but overall solid construction.

Great

Really happy with this. Neck is really nice and thin, lovely finish on it. Sound out of the guitar is excellent. The guitar's appearance is great - the surf gloss finish is beautiful. Came well setup out of the box. Overall, really pleased with it - no complaints.

Good guitar for beginner that are after an overdriven sound

The setup could have been better with this guitar. The action was high and the truss rod would have needed adjusting. My main concert is with the active pickups, which are too hot for my purposes and they are not versatile in the sound they produce. But if you're after that particular sound, this might be a good choice. Recommended especially for those interested in heavier styles. For indie, where you sometimes need a cleaner sound, this is not the best choice. Beautiful looking instrument. I'd recommend the Fender player series over this level of Squier.
