Ideal first guitar
If your a beginner and your moving up the fretboard and wanting to learn scales and licks then this guitar is about right for you. One thing that impresses me is you can play it leave it 24hrs pick it up again and it always seems to stay in tune which in my opinion just this alone is worth the money..
Value for money!
Bought just about the cheapest electric guitar I could find, and I have to say I am amazed by the quality of it. Not only does it look beautiful, it sounds great too. And it plays very well.
Setup was decent too, I only had to raise the low E string a bit.
For this amount of money, I am convinced you are not going to find a better guitar. I love it, and find myself picking this one every time over my other guitars :-)
Everthing and more a beginner needs.
If you are just starting off playing the electric guitar, this an unbeatable value proposition.
The edges of the fretboard are nicely finished and the frets themselves are cut cleanly with no burrs to knick your hands while you play, a common problem on cheaper guitars.
The neck is a lovely satin finish which makes for very comfortable playing and stops sweaty hands from dragging on the neck.
As for sound, it sounds far better than a guitar of this price has any right to and the limiting factor in this equation is 100% my own skill (or lack there of).
It has no problem holding tune as the bridge and nut were well set up from the factory even when attempting heavy bends. The only area it falls short is if you attempt heavy divebombs using the tremelo, it sometimes does not go quite back in tune, but if you are doing that, you may wish to look at a Floyd Rose guitar.
It is a SSS style strat so if you are a fan of heavier rock you may wish to go for the HSS version of this guitar, but that is ultimatly down to your personal preference.
Love it
Great quality! I bought it to learn how to set up the guitars, however there was no job left for me (no buzz, action is great etc) ... In my opinion, frets work is the same as on Fender Player series. Plays well and it feels great in hands. I thought that it will be going out of tune fast, but it's not the case. Maybe it's just a luck..
It does not have all bells and whistles and Squier logo is on it BUT I do NOT care! Amazing instrument! If you would like to learn how to play, or looking for a present, or just would like to have guitar in your studio - I would definitely recommend it!
Note: I've never tested it on stage
