Excellent construction for the price
I got this as my second guitar after owning a squier strat CV 50s for 3-4 years. By this point I've been lucky enough to play a wider range of instruments of different qualities and have a decent point of comparison. 1) This guitar at least the one I ordered, is extremely well build and really good looking. The neck is very comfty and plays easily, much better then my strat CV and nothing to envy to mexican fenders (In fact I have played more then a few mexicans and even americans that for me have felt worse), of course this will change from guitar to guitar and player to player. The tuners could hold tune better and I probably will eventually change them (would be my only criticism in this area) . But the main point stands, if you get a good guitar of this line, it will be good looking and comfortable.
2) Sound: I never had this experience before but I can honestly say it does not sound good. To my ear its really muffled and there is no distinction between the individual notes when playing a chord. Sounds dull and muffled in general. I plan on changing the pickups for Fender Pure vintage 64s.
All in all, a really good guitar to make mods and turn it into an incredible instrument for a really cheap price. Specially if you get it on a discount, you can change everything for top of the line parts and it will still be cheaper then a mex tele.
The necks are amazing
I love specifically these finished guitar necks - I first got the anniversary bass and thought guitar necks are supposed to always feel like that - after playing fender guitars with different necks I realized that the playability of these are amazing. You also get the same quality as fender pickups in this guitar, so its a massive win that these exist.
