Fab unit but lacks flexibility

The quality of light output is almost breathtaking( maybe too bright for the folks at smaller venues). They are very small and easy to transport but pack a big punch. The major issue I have with them is the sound activated program is fairly fast with no control. The slowest program only starts slow and cycles through and ends up like a glastonbury headliner. So you will need the controller to stop it really. Or some kind of DMX control. Otherwise excellent.

Unusable

Bought this for my bands to take with us when we're traveling, mostly small gigs on small stages, some bigger.

In every scenario the light was too bright, on all programs/sets.. whatever you call it.

The singer in one band can't see the lyrics because these lights are so bright, we can barely see each other on stage. We have tried moving the lights back, but in a dark club, you would have to go pretty far away, so the lights aren't unbearable, and by then you've probably lit up the whole room.. which is not ideal.

If there was any way of lowering the output without having a DMX Controller, This would be ideal for a band playing small clubs/pubs and stuff, but i really can't recommend this.

These are great. Compact and easy to use.

I can't think of any.

Bottom line

Only thing I have seen that is better is pro-level theatre and staging equipment which is not practical for a small Wedding/Function band to carry around and setup.

Highly recommend

I highly recommend this item to all bands and singers. I bought this for stage lighting for one of the bands i work with. For such a small light it is brilliant. It also perfect for lighting up the crowd on the dance floor. I have used this many times while djing as well and it is perfect. Highly recommend this

WoW effect for mobile Dj

WoW effect for mobile Dj - guaranteed. I am mobile Dj, use to do gigs in all kind of environments. I needed small, light and fast to setup mini light set for small/medium gigs. I choose this unit based on reviews.

Well, came nice packed - with hard cased bag. When i stared to mount first time this unit - i was surprised of the small bar and led size... but when i turned it on - yes... there it was - WoW! effect :)

Light is bright, build in scenes are great without DMX, chasing light effect - something you don't expect form this price point unit these days. Used it in small wedding with two more Stairville flood panels and some hell ball for dot effect. No problem filling dance floor and the best option, that you can control with IR remote (sold separately) and mount on top some effects - handy!

Cons: Small bar, i wish i could on one bar add 2x scanners and build in leds asides (top L-R and downside L-R) so i have space downside to add two extra moving heads for example.

Considering to buy one more :)

Don't let the photos fool you

I haven't checked the measurements of this before ordering, because it looked big and powerful in photos. It was actually very small in size when they came. Despite that, these are still very powerful.

Happy with the product, instructions could be made easier. Lead is too short. very well built. Casing is very good. Would recommend.

Brilliant Buy

Brilliant colour spectrum. Powerful and very bright.

The case has started to break on the zip even with a lot of care but overall, a great compact, lightweight buy.

Great compact lighting solution

These things are incredible.

In comparison with the stairville par bar they are about half the size with the same quality of light output. Due to the size of the led's the light dispersion is a little thinner and they are a little brighter but the good points in size and weight far outweigh this.

I can fit 4 sets of these into the space i used to fit only 2 of the larger par bars.

In terms of functions they also take instruction better from dmx controllers and do more functions than the larger counterpart.

Very Easy to Setup

We have been using these as a 5 piece band for 4 month now. They are very easy to setup. Very Bright to light up the stage. We use 1 set in smaller venues and 2 Sets in Larger venues and get plenty of Light cover on stage. Foot controller is great for Pausing Light show and No Light. Good Programs. DMX out will control the second light set. DMX out does not control other individual Lights we have. These are great value for money
