simple, cheap, perfect

this is great for a very small stable setup. i run a couple of leds in ch 2-6 and a 1ch dimmer in ch1. it's perfect for a side stage that only has one musician. and i can come along and easily push down the master as it gets darker outside.

Handy,

Great little DMX Mixer, does exactly what I needed. Simple realtime control over a couple of LED par cans.

it's plenty for that buck

it just works, without hassle. I have a very modest setup: a dance school hall with six spots aiming at the ceiling for ambient lighting. I needed a very simple way to dim them individually, that any dance teacher could understand in a second, and that product is exactly it.

I broke a slider's cap by dropping it from a table to the ground, which is not surprising and didn't affect its functionality, but that is why I'm only giving it 4/5 stars for quality. Maybe that's a little harsh though.

Excellent product

I am using this product to control the lighting in my recording studio paired up with a Starville DDS-405 DMX Dimmer & Switcher; it works fantastically! The setting up could not have been easier - it was plug and play, and ever since I have had no problems with the functioning of my lighting system. The product is very intuitive to use, I didn't even need to look at a manual to get it up and running. The build quality is excellent - it seems to be very sturdy and would require a significant amount of force to damage in any way. The faders themselves are very smooth and responsive and feel great when used. This product has been perfect since purchase. I highly recommend!

Simple and easy to use

I got this controller as an item to rent out when someone only wants basic control instead of a PC wing solution. Perfect for par cans, strobe lights, fog FX, anything that is just a nice static piece. Faders move smoothly and the rubber feet on the bottom keep it in place. I bought a Pelican 1200 case to transport it safely. It cost more than the controller itself!

The only thing I don't like is the power delivery. I really wish they would have put an IEC port on the back of it and put the 120-240v to 9v transformer inside the unit instead of having a wall wart adapter. Having to keep track of that is much more annoying than using one of the hundreds of IECs I have laying around. That being said, I knew this from the pictures before buying, so I'm not upset.

The battery is a little bit of a pain to get to, but I really only put it in there for emergency situations. I plan to use the power adapter whenever possible.

All-in-all, I got exactly what I expected and it works flawlessly! Will probably purchase the 12-channel version down the road.

Perfect for setting LED lighting

I use these for setting colour changing lighting strips on my bars (BarHire.ie) and they work perfectly and they are easy for my customers to use also.

Simple basic controller that does the job

This is a basic simple DMX controller that simply does the job. I bought it on behalf of our local Working Mens club who simply wanted to control some PAR cans that were connected to a dimmer pack with DMX control available. Worked perfectly. I bought this a few years ago and it is still going strong.

A basic but good controller

It's fairly basic but that's all I need - I'm using it mainly to mix the RGB on led lights, and to dim/raise the lights - so it's easy to use for that. It saves you having to play around with dip switches on the lights before every gig. Anything more complicated would be beyond me!

It seems solid enough, and it's a good price so I can recommend this as a usefully piece of kit.
