Perfect for small band/duo/solo
Bought my first set of these lamps over 10 years ago and they have worked flawlessly since. Recently purchased some flat LEDs which don't have the same "feel" as these lamps (more harsh in my opinion). Running with LC2412 controller via midi.
Astounding value & reliability
I bought four of these units seven years ago to provide a wash from the rear of the stage at my venue. I can say with complete honesty they have been one of the best buys I have ever made for the venue lighting. Unbelievably good value and reliability, the cost alone is astoundingly low for what you are getting. Whilst other more expensive units have had failures of one kind or another these units have carried on with all of the LEDs working, they just keep doing what they are meant to. They come it a decent sturdy metal chassis too so easily take the odd knock when rigging and de-rigging.
If I have one criticism of the design it is that you can "loop through" the DMX control but you cannot "loop through" the power. If the design was changed by having and in and out for power that would be very helpful. At present that means that each it is powered and cabled individually. Even if this put an extra 15% to 20% on the purchase cost the value would still be there and the difference in their ease of use would be increased 10 times over.
Overall I highly recommend these units, they are a no nonsense robust design with longevity, value and effectiveness. You cannot really ask for more at this price point.
Great but a bit weak to damage
Ordered 4 1 came slightly damaged on the gel holder clips luckily i managed to fix it
Great light
I have mine a long time now and it still works perfectly.
I've been using these for YEARS. Decent lights, could be brighter, but they've got me through so many events, and they keep going!
great price
great price great effect and colour...
Works Great
We have bought 2 for our rehearsal room (14 m2) and they work just fine. They give a nice ambience to the room.
Pros:
Price
Good hardware
Easy to use
Cons:
Short power cable
Extremely good
Bought two of these 2 years ago and was so impressed I bought three more last year. I use these for mobile discos and plan to use them in small productions. The dip switch is at times a little difficult to change but a pen can help with that. The gel frames are very good. The instructions couldn't be clearer. For their price they are brilliant.
Often gigged with just 2 of these - nothing else.
Very easy to use, well built. I often gigged with these on the slow colour fade setting. They looked great - my only one criticism was that sometimes the colour change wouldn't fade into the next but flash into it instead which is a shame, it just looks better if the sequence is more consistent all the way through. Overall excellent value, good reliable product; things have definitely moved on from the old fashioned Par 56 cans!! No more boiling hot equipment to worry about :)
The best LED PAR of his time
The oldest LED PAR 56 I have has 8 years and it was used minimum once/week. I'm sill using them because they are fully functional. I like the warm colors compared with the new led generation. Hard to break, solid build, long lasting units!
