Good spotlight. Multifunctional simple and convenient.

Classic, small PAR. We use it for general, dim, scene lighting! I am very pleased that incandescent lamps can still be used in it, this is important for us. But of course, if you want, you can use modern LED lamps without any problems as well.

Short cable! And bad fit for the front filter

They work fine, but quite surprised how bad the fit in the front is for the color filter - the metal holder for the filter could be 3cm bigger!

So it dangles a lot, but it holds.

And the power cable is super short - about 25 cm I would say. Not pratical if you buy 3 of these to be put on the same plug - then you can max have them 20cm away from each other.

And I bought the Varytec LED Bulbs 13W that were meant to fit Par30 but it turned out they are a tiny bit too big and can easily be scratched with the screw holding the safety wire. No idea if that problem is from the Bulbs or the PAR can.

Apart from all of that - it's cheap, light, and does the job fine :D

Stairville PAR 30

I bought a pair of the chromed lights because I knew they would be in full view of the audience and in a room with white ceiling and walls. We use them to highlight a small stage, so they are not powered up all day every day, and we do not use them with a dimmer switch. Bulb replacement is easy and so far it seems there is enough ventilation for the bulbs not to overheat. We use them with a diffusion gel and with the correct sized Stairlight Barn Doors.

Fitting the barn doors and the gel holder was a little tricky and the earth ground/safety cables which attach both the gel holder and the light base to the main barrel of the case. These can be a bit fiddly and may not look the part but once they are in place they do not detract from how the light looks.

They look great, are easy to maintain and do the job without any problems.

It looks great and it's made to last. Superb finish and the price is just about right.
