I have to confess... I'm mostly a Reaper-Guy... nevertheless I tried out and finally bought Bitwig since the Ideas I came up on it were pretty nice and the workflow is so damn well thought out. There are things I would love to see added (such as retrospective Midi and Audio Record) but over all it is a very rare sight in this industry. You buy the thing... and you get with it all that you'll ever need. there is no "Cool you bought our Pro-Software... but really you want to get this other bundle of us and that Library" Bitwig is Bitwig... is Bitwig... and I really hope they don't forget that like one year ago, where they tried to release a seperate bundle... I would however recommend you also get a good Midi-Controller with it (if you don't already have one) I...

I have been loving Reason + since purchasing. It is stuffed with fantastic instruments and samplers and is really all you need to produce music, create sound design and edit audio of any sort. VST 3 integration, so far, has been spot on with no crashes at all. Blocks is a brilliant feature for arranging and working on sections individually. The mimic sampler is the most fun I have had in years with an instrument. If there was a slight shortfall, it is that there is no video support. I know it is possible to use reason rack in a DAW with video capabilities, but I would happily stay in Reason + if sound to picture was possible. I have no hesitations recommending reason to anyone, whether pro or beginner.

The sound of SD3 is insane. This thing is extremely realistic. You can control pretty much every parameter you can imagine like mike bleed, alternate hits, etc. It takes a bit to get used to tho, the UI is somewhat confusing at the beginning and it takes a while to unlock the whole potential of SD3. There are some very good tutorials online tho. I do wish the standard library came with a little bit more variation instead of having to buy the expansions for it. You have some very good kits but in the end, it's the same configuration for all of them and you always "record" on the same room, so while the drums sound different, the room is always the same.

Out of all of the various plugins I've used to aid in production and mixing, SoundID Reference has been the most useful and has made a huge difference in my mixing process Without being able to identify if my speakers or room was more at fault for the non-flat sound I was getting before using this software I can say with confidence that the correction has enabled me to mix much more confidently knowing that I'm hearing a flatter representation of my mix then before, Mix translation is now significantly less of an issue for me with mixes translating as expected to various systems as opposed to very hit and miss before I was using this correction software My only complaint would be that the standalone software / systemwide component is quite buggy and often needs me to close and reopen...

I've had my HS7s for about 4 years and was looking at upgrading to something like Adam A7Xs etc but decided that ultimately, theres no point buying new speakers if my room isn't right. I don't have the luxury of being able to properly treat my room so I got SoundID instead, thinking at least it will help somewhat before I can get a more permanent setup. Genuinely, this is amazing. As long as your speakers are already in the right place, it takes about 20 minutes to setup. The process is fairly simple and the software guides you every step of the way. If you mess up you can go back and repeat a step anyway. After you've finished measuring your room you get a graph depicting how accurate your speakers are currently. Despite not having any treatment, I always thought my speakers sounded...
