I use it mostly at home for writing music and recording bass tracks to demos. A very inspirational instrument I must say. I'm not a bass player but occasionally like to pick up a bass to fiddle a little. I like the shape and size of this instrument and the looks. The sound is more on the higher end and not too sustainy as one might expect from this body size but this can be doctored in amplification and effects stage if necessary. The quality looks decent under every corner, I've seen far worse instruments for four times the price. The included gig bag looks also decent. Couldn't ask more for the money. I bought it for the looks, to use in a music video so I don't know if I'd buy it again if stolen but I'd certainly buy it for the first time again :)

This bass was bought because I have wanted a headless bass since the 80?s. The bass has an almost limitless sound palette, and is very versatile. Tones ranging from really clinical slap tones to deep reggae dub sounds. It is very light and very comfortable to wear on a strap and also very comfortable in a seated position with the leg rest folded out. It takes no time at all to get used to the headstock not being there and it stays in tune perfectly, because there are no tuners to knock when taking it out of the gig bag. The quality is excellent, and the frets are really well polished with no sharp edges or buzzing. Everything feels very sturdy and well put together. I would definitely recommend this to anyone just starting out or anyone wanting something very different to what is out there.

I've been desiring a 7 String bass for almost a decade and I finally saw this one! Its price is not cheap, but it is reasonable in my view, specially considering what you get! The bass is amazingly comfortable, not specially heavy considering its neck's size and very beautiful... The sound is amazing, really amazing. If I ignore the two higher Strings it is like playing a regular 5 String bass, no greater effort needed if set on the right height (which, for me, has to be a little higher than the height I use on other basses). The higher strings sound very beautiful, harp like when arpeggiated. The sound possibilities are very versatile, specially with the mid frequency 3 way toggle, it can richly increase the higher mids or sinisterly scoop the sound. The only difficulty I had...

As a guitarist I'm most interested in the lower end, often tuning down to C, but as a bassist I end up playing chords like a guitar. So this is exactly what I've been looking for! Right out of the box this thing plays perfectly. The GBVS has a simple setup of volume, tone, and a 5-way pick-up selector that gives a wide range of sounds. The stock single-coil pickups & strings can be a little thin, especially if you're expecting a traditional bass sound, but the tone knob gives a lot of variety. And you could always change to a heavier string gauge or install different pick-ups. Cosmetically I have zero complaints. I love the offset body and neck shape, and the finish is great and light on the neck so it's easy to move your hand around. No frills needed. It's an ideal rhythm...

I bought this as a travel bass, I need to practice when I'm on holiday, and I needed a bass that doesn't take up half of the space in the car. I do not usually rate passive basses, and this is only the second one I have bought in more that 2 decades - I sold the other one because it sounded so dull. Pros: number one, much smaller overall than a conventional bass, so it immediately fulfils it's role as a travel instrument. The flip down body rest makes it easy to keep on your lap when sitting down. Stays in tune amazingly well. Very glossy and almost blemish free finish - I'll come to that in the cons.
