So good! (good, good, good, good)

In it's core it's just a four tap delay, with digitally emulated tape. But it sounds beautiful with the right source. Great for timed looping too. It can easily escape the boundaries of classic tape delay and go totally crazy. The spring reverb emulation is the icing on a classic cake.

Absolutely amazing unit...

This is way more than a tape echo emulation. It's more like a tape echo & full blown tape recorder emulation.

The only con is you can see Strymon's inexperience in eurorack world by leaving out CV control over individual tape head volume...

Love this thing

Loving this device, great sounding, and full of features.

High quality materials/build.

Easy to install.

You can get lost for a while with this thing, so much to try out, massive range in terms of output/capabilities.

Superb

As expected from Strymon, the quality of this module is quite impressive and everything literally sounds better through it. I'm quite a fan of delays but this is really something special.

I would encourage a buyer to watch some of the videos out there which give a great overview and demo of what it does. My only nag about the Magneto is that it could have used more CV for the tape heads. There are others complaining that 4 clock outs is too much, but personally i think it adds a great dimension to cross-patch with weird results.

Other that that, i would highly recommend this piece of gear.

truly genius module

the only thing that this module is missing is cv inputs for the individual delay heads. otherwise, it's ridiculously useful and sounds fantastic - as expected from Strymon. There is some volume loss so might need an extra vca (or two if used in stereo).

Another great multi-functional tool

A nice foray into eurorack from guitar pedal stalwarts, Strymon. Really well built. Lovely feel.

Really inspiring unit, particularly when you get into functions such as the time-locked pitch-shifting. Having the added tone colouration takes it far beyond its use as a tape delay simulator and the spring reverb sounds good as well.

Since it is multifunctional, there is a learning curve, but that is to be expected in eurorack world.

Functions really well as a looper too, with really clever clock management, particularly on the outward going clocks.
