Best cheap closed-back headphones

If you need closed-back headphones on the cheap, these are the way to go. The sound quality is inferior to 150+ € Sennheisers/AKGs and (in my opinion) to open-back Superlux headphones, but for noisy environments and activities, closed-back is necessary. I learned to avoid the other Superluxes that have a detachable cable, as the "dongle" tip of the headphones (the part you can't replace...) is of poor quality and breaks easily. These have served me well for years now. In case you're new to Superlux: they tend to have amazing sound quality for the price.

Superlux HD-660 Pro 150 Ohms. My first studio headphones

My first studio headphones. The quality of the finish, the appearance is very good. I liked the sound, but didn’t like the fact that you couldn’t adjust the volume. The sound is also quiet. Most likely 150 Ohm is not enough power for the Steinberg ur12 sound card.

Value for Money

I own BeyerDynamic DT 770 Pro, which I consider them value for money as well, with excellent sound. This guy is not at that level (soundwise and soundproofing), but it's very close, at a fraction of the price. I use in every day with Fender mustang micro headphone amp, and I'm very pleased with the results.

Budget monitors did not disappoint

The fidelity and comfort on these is pretty great for the price! I wanted some open back headphones for monitoring during practice, and these do everything I need while looking slick.

GREAT SOUNDING HEADPHONES!

This headphones are really good for anybody who's just starting out. I really got to hear staff that i could hear on my other headphones and speakers.

The sound separation is so great. And you can put these on for a long time and feel no pressure. They are over-ear so good for Tracking as well when recording. I do my own recording, mixing and mastering, i just know that these will bring much improvement to my mixes.

Comfortable, but QA is suspect.

Set I purchased have noticible distortion on left side which makes them useless. They are very very comfortable and I may take a chance on another set, as they are the most comfortable low cost headphones I've tried, and they do sound very good in the right side.

Great built, but not the best audio quality

These are great price for a pair to use for recording when you don't care about the sound quality because you're not mixing or enjoying music on them. The bass frequencies are poor, unfortunately. But that is expected on this price range.

Simply the best quality / sound ratio

You can't find anything with that sound quality for only 40€.
