Very good but a bit uncomfortable after a few hours
I like these headphones which seem to reproduce a clear dynamic sound and they've lasted several years of regular use. They fit well over the ears and the general build quality is good. My only criticism is the band which passes over the top of the head and tends to pull the headphones in a bit too much onto the ears after a period of usage. There's no real way to regulate the tension (although recently I did a DIY job on them and removed the tensioned band which seems to have done the job). All in all and considering the price they're pretty good for regular use of a couple of hours at a time.
They are great!
These are quality!
very worth it, great for mixing/production purposes.
a little tight on the head, maybe it might change in the future as they get softer.
Best headphones for 30E!
Cheap and reliable. Good sound isolation and enough power!
Great design...but that's it
Considering the price range of these headphones there shouldn't be any real complaints regarding their quality. They come with an extra cable, a pouch and an extra set of pads which is great to be honest.
They sound pretty good, the highs seem to overshadow the other frequency bands but otherwise they're alright.
Nothing outstanding but definitely better than anything in this price range to be honest.
The clamping strength of these is rather weak, they rest well on the head but don't exactly create a proper seal. They're also, somewhat surprisingly not as comfortable as they appear. It's like they are rigid and don't exactly mold on the head properly.
Bottom line - quality/price ratio is pretty good. If you're not willing to dish out much but want a little more from your gear - this is the way to go
Great headphones, and the price is amazing!
I've bought 4 of these headphones for my studio and I love them. Built well, they cover my ears better than most headphones i've used in the past (the pads are big and comfy), and the sound is great. I can't believe the price is so low. I like the removable cables and that it comes with two lengths. Will be buying a couple more pairs soon.
Better than Kinder Surprise!
I bought this Headphones because of the price - a budget pair got me more than surprised. Nice bumpy sound, comfy and light. A perfect match for drumming and rehearsals. If you're looking for some budget headphones, don't think too much - get them two!
Decent for the price, good when modified
Pros:
-very good sound quality for the price, when modified (guide available online - need to block 4 of the 6 vent ports and use thin filter to reduce treble peak - very easy to do);
-comes with comfortable velour pads;
-good passive noise isolation ;
-sturdy, despite medium build quality, no issues after 8 months;
Cons:
-micro-phonic cable;
-cheap feeling plastic.
Comfy, but bad otherwise
Cable that attaches to the headset is very flimsy and doesn't work consistently, you have to wriggle it around to get it working a lot of the time. Even with the little plastic connector they give you.
Also sometimes when you have them on but aren't listening to anything you can hear an odd electrical noise on one side. I'm not sure how to describe the noise but it's kinda unpleasant.
I tried tolerating them for a while but the problems proved too difficult to ignore.
662-EVO
All items were fine out of the box. Fit very comfortably but securely over ears. No pressure points. Big 50mm elements deliver right out of the box. Low end is immense compared to AKG-K52 for example. Top end seems a litte overpronounced but it will even out during use definitely. Detachable cable may or may not last. Input jack has been made flexible at the headphone end but maybe it should be firmly secure so only the replacable part could flex. Conclusion is still as other people have stated here: These ARE the best cans for this money!
Good budget headphones, but comfort could be better for large heads and large ears
I bought these headphones to use as a backup for my Audio Technica ATH-AD700s and for when I needed the sound isolation of a closed pair of headphones. I'm not much of an audiophile or headphone aficionado but these Superlux HD-662 Evos sound pretty good to me. and they don't sound like a cheap pair of headphones. The mids sound natural, the highs are detailed without being shrill, and the bass sounds deep and pronounced without being too overpowering.The soundstage is surprisingly expansive for a closed pair of headphones, and the closed back does a fairly good job of keeping out outside noise.
I would say the biggest issue with these headphones is comfort. The circumference of my head is around 58cm, so it is on the larger side, and I found the default clamping force on these headphones to be much too strong. I adjusted the clamping force by bending the two metal bands at the top, but it still doesn't feel quite right.
In addition to having a pretty big head I have fairly long ears, and I found the pads on these headphones to be a bit too small to enclose them completely. The inner parts of the pads clamp against the very tips of the bottom and top of my ears, which creates slight pressure points that make me want to take the headphones off and give my ears a rest after a couple of hours of wear.
All in all, these are good headphones for the price and I would recommend them as a pair of backup or beater headphones, but in my estimation they're less than ideal for large heads, particularly if you're in the market for just one pair of headphones that you can wear all day without even noticing that they're on your head.
