Totally unusable due to background hiss

The speakers are made well, they have enough features for their price range, even though in a compromised solution in the form of dip switches.

But the biggest problem, that literally makes these speakers a waste of materials is the insane amount of background noise.

It's so bad it's absurd. The popular 7-inch AMT tweetered ones have already too much white noise - heard 5 metres away in the room.

The Swissonic X8's? Forget hearing a difference from your vintage analog emulation tape saturation plugins. You can hear the background hiss in another room and through music.

Just to get an idea of how bad it is - it's louder then the fan of an old laptop with four Chrome tabs open.

Do not buy.

Yes it's tempting since it's a three way.

Just don't.
