Brilliant, but one small flaw....

This is a great pedal for the price. Great sounds, and easy to use.

The one very small issue i have is the placement of the battery door, its underneath the pedal. If you want to stick it to a board,the cover sticks out....even after i took off the 4 rubber feet. The only solution was to take the door off totally, and then the pedal is flat and ready to stick to the board.

An excellent overdrive-distortion-fuzz pedal.. it really can reproduce any kind of distortion you could ever need.. it's dual operation is like 2 separate pedals in 1. For it's price it's a bargain!

The best RAT based pedal

I love every TRex drive I have ever used, in fact I love every TRex pedal I have ever used. This is no different. It is simply the best RAT based pedals around. Its a RAT circuit but seems a little sweeter than the Proco and you get 2 channels of it and 2 modes on each channel, If you like distortion pedals, get one its brilliant.

Oh as great as this is on Guitar its also absolutely amazing on bass, just perfect as a Bass distortion as well

Unbelievable - The Best Thing on My Board !

Like others have said, this is an incredibly versatile distortion pedal and one that is unbeatable at this price point. It's a very musical sounding distortion that can go from open, sparkly low-gain drive to a think fuzztortion that would transform your clean channel into a whole new beast. Have one channel for raw, ringing overdrive, the other for a huge wall of sound, or set them both at the same type of drive (boost/normal) but with different level of volume or distortion to give you that push where needed. It really has many uses.

I say this as I mostly play it in the clean channel of a tube amp, and that's where it shines and sounds most organic. Playing it in a solid state amp clean channel sounds great as well, only don't try to push a distorted channel with it. It doesn't do well pushing other pedals but it takes overdrives in front of it like a champ. I've put in a Tubescreamer 808 before and it gets me to ultra gain when both are engaged, which is amazing for thick solos or heavy Drop D - Work.

And the best of all: top mounted-jacks ! T-Rex were way ahead of their time :) The only complain I have is the tone knobs are flimsy and seem like they could break if you're not careful, otherwise A+++!

sound is not great (i expected nice distortion).

boost switch dosen't change the sound s+that much.

who wouldn't have Overdrive, Distortion and Fuzz in 1 pedal. this is just monster pedal. u can have two different settings, and u can switch with just one click away.

after I bought this, I sound like god. it doesn't upgrade ur playing style or skill, but it upgrade the sound u create with ur magic finger.

An amazing overdrive and fuzz

This is an amazing overdrive and fuzz. Works really well, solid. You have a fuzz and a overdrive in one box. Highly recommend. Very versatile unit.

Great value for the money

First impression is decent: solid chassis and the pots are ok. Well, sound is always a question of personal taste. If you are looking for modern sounds the Mudhoney won't satisfy you. I get the best out of this box from a Tele or LP Junior with a classic tweed amp. The pedal turns the amp into a two channel amp plus booster. It's not as warm as a Tubescreamer, it opens up a bit more (which is perfect for Telecasters). Sustain is beautiful!

Versatile great dist

Great quality, sound from a sublte break until a good fuzz sound, it’s a rat but got better in sounds. At 99 is a great deal

I bought the pedal since i wanted to have 2 Distortions in one pedal, and the pedal does exactly that! you can set the two section in two completely different way, or very similar with only a volume boost. Great quality and great sound. Both since single coils (telecaster) and humbucker (Epiphone 335).
