These diffusors are put together reasonably well, as good as can be expected at the price. The wood panels are only glued at the backside, not at all at the front. Because of this, and because of the thin material, the wood can flex and in various places it is quite warped, but from a distance they look fine. Audibly the panels should fully reflect the sound and only perform the task of diffusing but they are actually quite absorptive too, dulling the sound and reducing transient sharpness, thereby reducing liveliness in the process. I started out with 8 panels behind my system and ended up with 2. With these 2 panels in place, the soundstage focus and bass precision are improved and the sound is subjectively indeed better than without the panels. I have a feeling that more expensive...
