The guitar is a little heavy but amplified it has a clear an a cristal sound. The 24th freets allow you to play avery acute sounds.
A perfect guitar
An excellent guitar for those who play classical, jazz or bossa nova. It has a clear and natural sound. The solid sitka spruce top offers a very direct power sound with increased bass performance. Although not too loud, it has a perfect timbre and pitch. In addition, Takamine includes the CTP3 Cool Tube preamp to further enhance guitar sound and a high quality audio transfer standard. Takamine has always mastered this technology with absolute perfection.
Another advantage of this guitar is its narrow nut, allowing greater comfort when playing it.
I would recommend this guitar to any musician who is looking for a high quality sound and a beautiful instrument.
A guitar of pure tone and great craftmanship
I cant get enough of the sound of this gorgeous instrument. Clean, sweet and full classic sound, with promising wood structure that can lead to extraordinary results as the years go by. Playability not divine, but one certainly cannot complain. 24 frets give more tone flexibility too. Outstanding craftmanship. Of course, as all Takamine's this one's is quite heavy too, but I dont see this as a drawback. I was surprised by the bass of this guitar (since many support that the guitar lacks it). For me, it's powerful, very efficient, though this is only my opinion. Yes, I agree, this instrument excels on more soft classical playing, but strong resonation is always possible and enough. Go for it, it's a guitar that will steal your heart mates!
so far the best one I ever owned, including another Takamine
The tone is so sweet and beautiful But does not have a big volume. She must be played in a percussive way,not being "plucked"...And then ,one must be prepared to invest in an insanely expensive pickup like Schertler DYN-G-P48.........
why ? make a guess..The playability is sooo good, almost beyond imagination.....crossover or hybrid means smaller and curves fretboard
Sound Quality:
Being a solid spruce top guitar, this one takes a little time to open up. When it does, it sounds wonderful deep with a reasonably quick attack and the kind of resonance you would expect for the price, but it's not very loud. I play jazz on this guitar. Chord solos, and lines with a thumb and two finger right-hand technique. If I play rest strokes it really shows its strength. Fantastic classical tone, though still a little on the quiet side.
Reliability Durability:
The finish on the top of this guitar is very thin. It actually takes on the shape of the grain. I'm sure this helps the guitar keep its resonance. The hardware feels very sturdy. The strap button on the neck side is slightly canted downward --A nice touch. This is my performance guitar, and I trust it.
