Bought it as a lower tom, kind of replacement, instead of gong-drum. Much cheaper, easier to transport and place in a kit. And never regret it. Beafy barky sound, very aggressive on low tuning. As an upgrade, can recommend replacing head with Remo Pinstripe .

Great cutting sound on very high tuning, kind of Neil Peart sounding. Stock heads are good. Can also be placed as an additional high tom, but on a medium tuning))
