Perfect for home use

I am using the TC Electronic Ditto at home for practicing and the ditto seems to be the perfect tool for this. It is very, very small, well built and easy to use. First click starts recording, second click stops and starts the loop immediately. Next click starts overdubbing - you don't have to start in the beginning of the loop and you can record continuously until you step on the button next times. Every loop cycle will record on top automatically. Undo / Redo is triggered by holding the button for about two seconds.

So it is easy to use and everything works as intended :)

I tried using it at rehearsals - but it is a bit tricky to stop the loop at the right time, because it needs a double-click. If you need this maybe another device would be better.

Sound quality is great.

easy and great sound

I was looking for a looper that is easy to use and has a great sound. And thats exactly what the Ditto does. Because there is only one button, it is so simple. Just great! Unfortunately it's not possible to export your loop to your computer via the USB-Port, which is for firmware updates only. You have to connect a power supply to use the ditto. There was simply not enough room left to integrate the possibility to use batteries. But thats the compromise you have to make for a looper that simple.

The sound is great, too. I can't compare it to other loop stations. But at first other people don't realise I'm using a looper instead of playing live. So sound seems to be quite good :-)

Awesome looper

Very easy to use without any bells or whistles. Unlimited overdubs with no signal loss or interference. I honestly don't have much use for this live, but for trying out ideas or just noodling at home it's a great asset.

It's unbelievably small which is also the only negative I have to say about it. Due to it's size, it's kind of difficult to make it fit on a pedaltrain type of board. There is just not enough surface to make contact with the bars. You could of course mount it horizontally, but then you no longer have the advantage of it's small footprint.

If considering a straight forward looper this is a great choice. Recommended!

Simple and perfect!

Couldn't possibly be any simpler, yet this little pedal has all the features I will ever need.

Up to 5 minutes of loops, unlimited layers, studio quality playback. Simply perfect!

One button does it all, one level knob. What more do you need?

Brilliant looper, and unbeatable in that size!

Bought this before heading of for some performances in China, and could not be happier with how it stood up. Audio quality is stunning, the functionality is dead simple, but it just plain works. Best features are the sync (very easy to nail the loops dead on), and the undo/redo; that way you can build add and retract to your loops easily, like adding a funky part on top of a ambient part and just turning that off and on, letting it guide your playing. Highly recommended!

Very good and simple

The best thing for me here is simplicity. I dont like tons of manuals for stompbox. Ditto is more or less plug and play. You have 2 or 3 features and thats it. Plug in and rock'n'roll!

A Fantastic little pedal

A simple easy to use foll proof looper for everyone. It's really quick to pick up and start looping straight away.

Looping is great way to create a big sound from a few instruments or voices.

Buy this looper.

Your very own rhythm guitarist is here.

Playing mostly at home this has been one neat product for practicing and trying out song ideas. Using it is easy, there is only one knob and volume control.

The instructions are easy and simple aswell.

Volume knob is maybe only one bad thing because it is too big and you easyly change volume by accident. easy solution was to just cut it off and leave just enough to turn it and then tape it down.

Other than that, it has made me better player to make rhytm parts and then playing over.

Having 5 minutes of loop time is also good.

TC Electronic Ditto with Double Bass

The day my TC Electronic Ditto arrived I was playing double bass in a pit orchestra for a production of 'The Sound Of Music'. I arrived early to put the Ditto into action before sound check.

The Ditto excels in every aspect that I was hoping it would. My previous experience with a looping pedal was with a Boss RC-20. I liked that pedal for the most part but I sold it for two reasons. 1: It was too large to permanently stay on my pedal board and 2: I felt that it altered the tone of my bass. So these two factors were what I was looking for in the Ditto. I was not disappointed. The size is obviously a big selling point, but the tone coming through the pedal is the clincher for me. Another bonus is that, because I used it first with my double bass, I found that it has a high input impedance, meaning that I did not need to place a piezo buffer in front of it. This is a very useful feature for me.

As for the looping functions - the simplicity is a huge selling point too. Some might think that it has too few features, but I give it five starts because the simplicity of the features is what attracted me to it. The Boss RC-20, whilst brilliant in it's ability to store what you've previously recorded, was simply more than I needed. No fault of Boss there. The Ditto just stores what you are currently looping. Disconnect the pedal and the loop is gone. I'm 100% fine with that. The only knob on the Ditto is to control the volume of the recorded loop - this is a very useful feature in my opinion as that really is the only parameter I want to have control of.

So, all in all it's a great product and absolute value for money.

No frills looping

I purchased the TC Electronic Ditto looper after seeing many popular artists using it and being blown away by how simple it was. I will mention as well that I am fairly new into my bass playing adventures so this was also my very first pedal.

As with most TC Electronic stuff that I've seen, it's a smart little unit that feels extremely robust. It's a lot smaller than I expected as well, but it's plenty big enough not to miss while stepping on (which is important as you'll find out). The controls are dead simple and just require memorising a small amount of patterns to start loops, delete them etc. Although I've rated 5 stars for features, it doesn't advertise itself as a do-everything pedal, it just sticks to looping and it does it brilliantly.

All in all it's a great little unit for the price and offered me a great way to practice as well as become more creative.

keep it simple

Looper pedals have to be easy to use and that's exactly what the ditto delivers: one button, idiot-proof use, very obvious system to work the button, nothing else.

Perfect.

It takes 5 minutes to understand how it works (reading the manual helps, though), and then you can loop yourself into infinity.

It's a small pedal with a great logic, undoing and redoing is made really simple - both on stage and dduring practise.

Jamming along with yourself never was so much fun, but the simplicity really is the key feature that got me hooked. I don't like having too much stuff and too many pedals, but the ditto looper is a must-have.

The perfect loop companion

It doesn't get much smaller and easier than this! A good quality loop pedal for guitar, in an extremely small casing and without a learning curve. Just buy it!
