An extraordinary device at a great price!

Although it is a "piece" of hardware, the device is actually a plugin and I use it integrated with Studio One 6. The installation is simple, the required power over USB is minimal (it is connected in the common USB Hub together with 11 other studio devices!), the software panel is excellently and transparently done, integration into DAW, Mac, PC smooth and without any problem, using the DVR250-DT hardware device on the studio desk is a practical & simple management solution. I haven't had the chance to use the "original" EMT 250 device, so I can't compare it, but the TC Electronic DVR250-DT sounds fantastic (I love the vintage reverb sound!). In my opinion, every studio should have this. There are several vendors that deliver plugins that emulate the EMT 250, but all of them are only software solutions controlled via a mouse or specific controllers, which makes them relatively impractical - DVR250-DT is an absolutely better and more functional solution. Five stars fully deserved...

Fantastic plugin and hardware controller

Absolutely awesome. Sounds fantastic and the hardware controller makes the experience even more awesome. I sometimes forget it's a vst plugin I am tweaking. Lovin' it to bits.

Avoid

The worst reverb I ever wasted my money on, it’s weak and almost not there, then they lower the price by 50% after one year of release which means I’ve lost out big time if I try and sell

I just love this.

I pair it other other reverbs for a full mix but on it's own it has a beautiful sound and world of possibilities regarding space. it really feels like the vintage digital it models. absolutely wonderful

Beautiful!

Like other reviewers, I bought all sorts of reverbs - Waves, 2C-Audio, yada yada. While I love the 2C-Audio reverbs dearly, the DVR250-DT is fantastic. It sounds beautiful on voice, and tabla, and nylon string guitar.

Simple to use, a low CPU footprint and absolutely the last reverb I will be buying. Promise.

A class act.

Nice Combo Soft & Hardware

Nice unit and easy the work with.

the loading and saving is great too.

Easy and quick to find a matched sound and besides the reverb I also like the other effects.

I'll add the TC2290 DT soon.
