tc electronic Flashback 2 Delay
Effect Pedal for Electric Guitar

Does the job really well
I use this in front of my amp mostly for the slap-back driven tones of Jimmy Page etc. It has a lot of delay types and is very versatile. A really great delay pedal all round.
This pedal worked perfectly and is very reliable, but it just does not sound good something fake sounding. I think it does a lot of things ok instead of doing one thing right with all the delay options. I dont like the selector knob it is hard to know what delay you are on. I have the hall of fame and I like it but the Flashback did not do it for me.
TC Flashback 2
Great and versatile delay pedal in a compact package. Pros - Digital (2290), tape, reverse and mod modes all sound great to my ears. I mostly use the tape delay emulation and it always adds a nice touch to any ambient sound. - Using the TonePrint editor, you can get a lot of other sounds, you could even turn the Flashback 2 into a chorus or a flanger pedal. - Easy access to different time divisions (you can change them with the TonePrint editor too), very useful if you like the dotted 8th sound. - Stereo in and out - The mash switch can be used for some fun stuff. In analog and tape modes, it can make the delay self-oscilate. In 2290 mode, it can sustain your notes - Easy to use looper Cons - The analog mode sounds too dark to me. You could probably change that in the toneprint editor but the default one just doesn't do it for me - The TonePrint editor is both in-depth but also confusing to use, not much guidance or help from TC. - The crystal/shimmer mode which adds repeats that are pitch shifted up 1 octave sounds harsh. I haven't been able to make it sound good so it's just sort of useless for me. In conclusion, this is a really good delay pedal at an affordable price. You get a variety of sounds, some better than others, and more if you figure out how to use the TonePrint editor effecively. The different time divisions was the thing that convinced me to get the Flashback 2 instead of other delay pedals in this price range like the Boss DD-8.

Good, just need to find your tone.
Really nice delay. I like it much more then DD3. Mostly using it on tape dly mod....and MASH is really cool :)
absolutely love this
the mash button has completely changed my way of playing and influenced the style of our band. but you need to get into the software and make your own patches to use it best.
Love it
Careful, if you want to use an external tap tempo, you need a stereo (TRS) patch cable, not a regular one.
Overwise: works a charm, every setting is a bliss, and the looper is great.
Easy to use and versatile
7 different delay effects are the basic flavors for everyone. I used 2 more different delay pedals and this pedal has some strong and weak sides.
I find 2290 and tape delays are very good (my first 2 selections) which are not available in boss dd pedals. But boss has better modulate effect in my opinion. Analog effect is not good as mxr carbon copy for sure.
Additionally this pedal has 2 more features which the other pedals do not have. Toneprint and the mash features. In the mobile app of toneprint, I found a lot of different harmonized delay effects (less than half of them are interesting...), some of them are very unique to be honest. And you have
opportunity to build your own effect which makes tc electronics be very innovative brand. And the mash feature behave differently per each different delay effect; it is enjoyable to play with it.
For the built quality, I have a few pedals from tc electronics and i like this brand quality...
It makes playing bass funny again
I bougth this Delay together with the Chorus from TC. Now I can play along with some songs from Pink Floyd or create my own sound. It doesn't have to be a guitar player only who can show off on stage.
It takes a while to get used to alle the knobs and possebilities. But once you get your hands on it - you'll enjoy it.
Awesome!
The only delay pedal you need either on gig or bedroom use!
