tc electronic Polytune 3 Noir Reviews
Too good for the price
Built like a tank, super bright display, easy to use.
The strobe mode is incredibly sensitive (which is good) but the polyphonic mode is incredibly accurate as well
Great tuner, very small space
Got to replace headstock tuner as I always loose the damn things. Great size, fits right on the board and its a great tuner.
Great tuner, easy to use, easy to change the settings. Great buffer, too. More than I expected, and I'm really happy with it.
great
very clear tuner which tunes perfect. I like the ability to see the tuning constantly so even during a song it is possible to tune
Tut was er soll!
Amazing ... all , in one incredibly small box
This is a game changer for sure
I saved a lot of space in my pedalboard
buffer- polyphinic tuner - strobe - small size
there's really nothing else you could ask
Good tuner
Nice features, you can use the display in different ways, always on or not, true bypass, just by flipping the small switches on the side.
Different manners of tuning, very clear on the coloured display.
By keeping the switch pressed in, you switch from your normal tuning setup to a dropped one.
Great tuner
Works perfectly one string at a time or strum them all to see exactly what string is flat or sharp. Definitely recommend
one of the bests
Im using Polytune for a long time now, great tuning, small dimensions, nice and bright display, TRUE BYPASS :))
Perfect for the job(s!)
I needed actually a buffer for my pedalboard. And didn't have a tuner yet. So this is 2-in-1.
Also lot's of build in functionality for other tunings. Buffer on or off. Always on or off. Etc.
For that price, there is nothing better. Everyone needs a Polytune!
great purchase
tiny footprint, bright LED, good buffer, low price....what more could you ask for?!
Fast and reliable
The best tuning pedal in the market. I play bass and I use it in live performances as a professional musician.
fastest, best, rainbows and unicorns
It is small, fits every pedalboard, has external options for buffered bypass/true bypass and always on option, handles low A on bass and regular guitar tunings, fast, doesn't glitch, proud to be an owner! Recommend everybody in your band! Even the drummer and his cat!
Super Purchase
This small and compact tuner is exactly what I needed for my small pedalboard. The Polyphonic function is a blast. In one single strum, I can easily see which string is out of tune without the need to play each string one by one. The product feels reliable, and high quality, and I couldn't hear any lousy noise. The pedal does not impact the sound quality of the guitar. I highly recommend this pedal is you are looking for a tremendous polyphonic tuner small enough to fit in a small factor pedalboard.
Small, compact, accurate
Very accurate tuner, mostly used for live shows. Picks up bass frequencies better than most other brands I've tried. Bright screen and clear tracking of how in/out of tune you are.
Very small, very compact, perfect for a crowded pedalboard. An option for battery use would have been nice but definitely not a deal-breaker.
Great tuner with a built-in buffer at a reasonable price!
In addition to its size that saves a lot of space on a pedalboard, the tuner is quite accurate particularly in strobe mode, normal mode is also very accurate and fast.
However, when setting up my pedalboard, I ended up preferring to keep it in true-bypass mode, because it honestly sounded better and felt better under my fingers, so I think it's great to be able to turn the buffer on or off, and see what works best with your setup.
Unfortunately it is not possible to use the always on mode in true bypass, because obviously when a pedal is on it is using a buffer, so it cannot be in true bypass turned on.
I really liked the switch's soft click-free feel, and I hope there will be no problems with it in the future, given the rumors on the Internet of problems with TC Electronic switches, and the difficulty of repairing or replacing them. .
Given the tuning options, different modes, a super readable display, and a built-in buffer allied with the price, I think it's probably the best option on the market.
Plus, the Noir version makes my pedalboard look even prettier. :)
I recommend it.
Now even greater
Even greater than the polytune 2 noir that I previously had. Highly recommended
Classy tuner
Everything you know and love about polytune now in a compact box.
Great use in a small package
Everything you'll ever need for polyphonic tuning and even has buffer in it. Big stuff in a small package. Simple, concise with good quality.
Fast and sleek but is it accurate?
The TC Electronic Polytune 3 mini Noir is an almost full-featured pedalboard tuner in a really compact form. It responds fast and switches from polyphonic to single string tuning fast and without glitches.
You can only tune to a base 440Hz with this tuner, so beware of that. No battery operation either.
As for the tuner's accuracy, there is a somewhat rough edge. When set to strobe mode, the polyphonic tuning completely agrees with the strobe single string tuning and with my peterson stroboclip tuner. Everything fine here. But, if you switch to needle mode (which is more convenient for me on stage), the low E string shows a little flat in polyphonic mode. If you tune it up, it shows a little sharp in single string mode. Not a massive difference, but it is a bit concerning. It is probably something that could be fixed with a firmware upgrade but the polytune 3 mini firmware cannot be upgraded. That's a bummer. So, if your pedalboard has enough space, go for a full size polytune 3.
