Excellent pedal

100% recommend this to anybody thinking of buying! Works exceptionally well.

It works

Gate and Hiss modes work straight out of the box by adjusting the knobs. Getting the toneprint setting to work properly (using a laptop) was a bit more fiddly but allows more precise control of the gate. There are dipswitches in the battery compartment that allow you to use buffered rather than true bypass

The best noise gate I ever had

Everything about this little piece of gear is amazing. Well designed and built like a tank. Does its job incredibly well too. I love it.

Absolutely amazing

I have a pedalboard w 10-12 effects and an isolated ps, so i was ok w that.

I decided to look for a noise gate when i was having hiss and noise issues between songs in my bands practice.

The internal loop of the sentry made me buy it, and for sure i can say its what i was looking for.

I have in its loop a compressor, a ts, a drive and a distortion.

With the sentry i don't have to worry anymore between songs for noise or hiss as it eliminates both.

Once you set up the threshold to your desired level, you are good to go.

Built quality is typical TC - great !

Sound wise i haven't noticed a tone suck from the sentry.

If you r having issues w noise and hiss, check your power and then go for tc sentry!

Very decent noise gate

This one stands out as it has send & return so your whole pedal board is within its loop. The trick is setting it so that you don't have any sound loss, which may depend on your style.

Overall, amazing pedal for a great price!

Does the job very well

When I use my dirt pedals with my telecaster the hum is very unbearable, but with the Sentry the issue is resolved immediately.

outstanding noise gate

I have been searching for a configurable gate in my chain to deal with hum and other unwanted noise issues. Although the MXR noise gate is excellent this is better. The toneprint feature has allowed me to tweak it so my signal does not get lost.

Works nicely, reduces noise from my wah

My wah pedal makes a ton of noise when placed near the power supply, but this pedal can cut that out using the send-return loop. It cuts the sound that comes out of the wah based on the clean guitar signal, so the threshold can be set lower than the wah-noise resulting in a less chopped off signal.
