Decent Vibe pedal

Does the Univibe thing quite well, well made, just not quite what I wanted, I cant get it to be how I want, but thats not the fault of the pedal it does what it is meant to do, I just have very specific needs from a Vibe and it does not do what I need, good pedal though and great value

basic/entry level rotary

"meeh" could be the best description for this pedal in terms of sound and usage. should be a really good choice for anyone that need urgent try a rotary BUT once you got it, yo are going to want to upgrade it.

also, the switch takes like 1 seg to turn-on, really weird functionality compared to other tc pedals (don't know if is something from this cheaper serie, i have the mimic and doesn't action the same)

I wanted to find a Leslie effect for singing planet caravan -black sabbath. It fits perfect to make the vocals sound very close to the original effect used in the song.

Best price/quality but could be better

I've tried this pedal and this is really an entry level leslie sound. I wouldn't say it's the most accurate sounding rotary pedal. But it's nice, robust and easy to use.

Not what I wanted, sorry.

I was after a Leslie/vibratone simulator and bought this after looking at several options. The price was right and the reviews were generally good.

Firstly, let me say that I love TC Electronic gear, I have 4 of their pedals on my board (which only holds 8) but I was disappointed with the sound from this and couldn’t make it work for me. It totally sucked my tone and made it way too middly with little top end. I don’t actually like a lot of treble but this just made it way too muffled and balancing the volume with the drive knob also added extra gain I didn’t like the sound of.

Apparently vibratones actually sound like that and if they are mixed with another amp sound much better (this is what SRV did). I did try it with a wet/dry setup and it improved somewhat but I rarely play with 2 amps and it still sounded too muffled. I then A/B’d it with a stereo chorus pedal which actually sounded better as it kept much more of my tone.

Make sure you listen carefully to demos online of this compared to the dry tones or you might be disappointed.

Swirly sounds on a budget!

I wanted to get some swirling leslie tones but was on a tight budget as it was only for home use. This ticks the box but do wish it sounded a bit brighter as I found it a bit muddy. I'm sure it can easily be fixed with a bit of EQ but it is a solidly built unit for the money

Built like a tank, sounds okay

Not the best sounding spinning speaker simulator out there, but definitely not the worst. It throws kind of a big EQ blanket over your tone, which is leslie-ish, but a bit over the top for me. Definitely not saying it’s a bad pedal. It’s great for the price. If you’re looking for leslie on a budget, go for it. Built like a tank, true bypass, cheap and sounds okay. Just a bit of a one trick pony.

Let It Loose

Just what you need for that watery Leslie speaker sound. Very nice!

too muffled

This pedal sounds good on its own. It's lush and dynamic but the problem is that it kills the highs and drops in volume when engaged making it unusable in a live situation

Great rotary emulator for the price

Solidly build vintage looking guitar/ keyboard effect. Very thick and lush sounding after a drive(but there is a slight volume drop) and a more vibrato sounding effect before a drive(volume pretty much unchanged). the drive knob is a cool feature as it ads a bit of.. well .. drive ;p, so you could just use the pedal on its own.

The only thing i miss is a Dry/Wet-Mix knob so there is no way to 'thin' down the sound. But overall a very cool and useful effect and definitely worth the cash!
