Good speaker in a complex system
The right speaker in a complex budget sound system,
I installed 12 such acoustic enclosures in an evangelical church, they do their job very well, but you don't have to wait for them to do more than they should from these speakers.
If you want to sound a philharmonic or a pretentious hall, go to other manufacturers that have better but extremely expensive solutions.
My system has been running smoothly for 18 months, along with an amp the t.amp TSA 4-700
PRO Good price, solid construction.
Easy to install, multiple connection solutions
CONS A little heavier than I expected, slightly raw
Excellent speakers.
Running 8 of these in a sport's hall for the public seating, and could not be more happy. Probaly overspecced these a little for the current deployment (as they are running only at max quarter power), but still very happy, and they give a very clear sound always.
Combined with the wall mounts, we have them mounted in 4 stereo sets for different parts of the seated area. This works especially well with the 90 degree dispersion pattern.
The back of the speakers has the connector on an odd angle, which meant that we had to mount every right facing speaker upside down (which isn't a huge issue, as the speaker layouts are symmetrical), but it looks a little odd from the rear.
Kind of Muddled
I like the build and quality of this speaker but the sound was kind of muffled. It seemed to be too heavy on the bass and drowned out the highs. I returned it and will try another speaker in the Achat series as I like the look and quality.
Good quality and solid
As these speakers only have two 6inch main drivers you shouldn't expect much in the way of bass of course. Sound is punchy and accurate, no sign of distortion or rattles in any way. Have put four of these in as rear/balcony speakers in a church, using larger proAchat speakers at the front. Overall these match in very well. Have had comments as to how professional and clean looking they are.
