Great sound quality and smart looking

Having read some of the other reviews before purchasing I was interested to hear and see what they were like. The speakers have been installed in a church hall for music playback. Some of the reviews mentioned a lack of bass. Having used many 8" speakers the bass response was not lacking or less than expected.

The audio quality was much better than I was expecting and the build and finish of the speakers was of a high quality.

The speakers look smart and the professional.

Perfect for community hall use

Purchased these with the intention using them for spoken word and occasional small band use in a medium sized community centre hall.

They do a brilliant job sounding clear and crisp at all times in halls that are less than ideal acoustically.

Best bang for the buck!

These speakers deliver a sound quality and volume that surpasses any other speaker in this price range. I really recommend this for anyone looking for good speakers but don't want to spend too much money

Great for the buck!

I bought the Classic bundle, so 2 CL 108 with CL 115 sub and that really works well - I used it as a additional reference hearing in studio, in the DJ+sax gigs, events, reaharsal with the band (with live drums) and always delivered. Not perfect, I lack some mid clarity, but really REALLY good price-quality ratio... I would buy it again in a heartbeat!

excellent satelites

Great sound, work well with the box CL 115 Sub MK II.

Great value

I have purchased these satellites as a substitute for 2x12" + comp driver which burned out, I have paired them with an active sub of 700w.

I was afraid they would not have the same delivery the sound the previous satellites had, but I was really wrong. They can cover really nicely a venue of 70m2, I usually play reggae music and I'm surprised at the clarity of the mid+highs they give.

Sound very clear, light, extremely portable and have a good audio range. Fills a large venue nicely.

Great for ambient electronic music.

I bought these with the matching 18" sub and I'm stunned by their quality. Having compared a few systems, both as separates and single sub/mids/highs units, these came out very well. Separating out the mids/highs from the sub certainly allows for really good definition for the type of music I perform. The main purpose of isolating a good bass works well with these as these can be positioned with much more care. Will do good space of 60+ people comfortably at half volume.

Nice sound

These, in combination with the CL 115 Sub MKII, are very good 8 inch speakers. They deliver as expected, a good clear sound!

In a big room/hall (up to 150 people) they are perfect.

Built very well, with a nice weight to them and a handy handle to move them about.

Would definitely recommend (together with a sub).

Great for conferencing

We at AVE Services use these speakers mostly for corporate conferences and events, so - wireless microphones, powerpoint videos and the occasional walk in/award show music.

We've paid them up the the 12" active subs and they work incredibly well together.

The sound is rich and punchy.

One thing I'd mention, they do not have a parallel speakon output so linking/daisy chaining isn't possible (unless you modify!)

They have a built in 35mm speaker pole spigot, which tapers in at the end as a spin-lock mechanism, very handy but sometimes a pain to lift off the stands.

So, great sound, great build quality, and would suit small bands, conferences, relays etc - add a sub and they'd be great for mobile DJs
