Good trombone for amateurs
I was very qurious what to expect when I opened the box with my new trombone. I have played trombone for almost 50 years, including high end trombones. The slide was slick after a little cleaning and some slide oil. The instrument had been quality checked, witch is good. It looked very nice and the case was very good for securing the bell and slide. I have played in many big bands, two of them as lead trombonist. So i was looking for small bore horn to play high notes. With the 12C mouthpiece (my preferred size) which is included, it was easy to hit the high notes. The response was good. This is an instrument not only for beginners and students, but a very good horn for amateurs as well. Of course it has not the depth like a big bore trombone, but very good sound for an amateur lead trombonist in a jazz big band and even as soloist in jazz quartets. I find the quality of this instrument amazing for this price.
