Excelent and beautifull sound . For this money is excelent product Maybe need an excelent mouthpiece too
Good pack and excelent delyvery.
I am a beginner, but great instrument.
It is impressive the apparent quality of the instrument.
Without getting into technicalities, it plays great, has a great sound all-round. The neck is great (thick), the whole saxophone vibrates when playing the lower notes.
Bottom line, I would say that if it is properly setup, there is nothing to complaint about.
Good starting Horn
This is a great model to start on your saxophone playing career. I say this from a beginner's perspective. Been playing this horn for 5 months now without major problems.
For the price I paid I can't really complain.
Mellow sax sweat voice
After couple week of horning. Its seems this horn can handle all response in Classic. If you tend t got a Grade Exam in Band. It does every work. You might foun dit a little heavy to hold but price give you a great value and ecperience.
Pretty fine starter model
This is a great budget model to start on. I say this from a learner's persepctive. I am no John Coltrane! I understand that it borrows some of it's design ideas from more expensive Yanigasawa models.
I really struggled to play the very lowest notes, and thinking it was either me or chocie of reed or mouthpiece I shopped around a little for different mouthpieces and reeds and practiced developing my naive embouchure. Turns out, after buying a little light pipe that I could push down the instrument, that the three lowest keys were not sealing completely and so air could escape making it very difficult to play those notes. A little bit of leverage with a reed and some finger pressure and the key was aligned properly with the hole and no light and therefore no air could escape.
Once that was sorted out I could play the lowest notes.
In the months I've had it a sticky key has developed. But...
I haven't done so yet, and given the low price, I would suggest (and I will do so myself also) taking the saxophone straight to someone who can set it up properly so that it is play-ready rather than factory-hot.
For a straight-from-factory setup at this price you can't really grumble
Great learner sax
Bought this as an addition to the alto I already own. Great delivery and everything OK except for the case which has been damaged on one corner. No damage to the actual instrument though. The case damage can easily be repaired so no need to send it back :)
The sax is exactly as described, and is a pleasure to play. The tone is exceptional for something in this price range. I am thinking of changing the mouthpiece though, just for personal preference.
Would highly recommend it for those who do not know which sax they want, and are thinking of of starting to play.
