This oud has good sound (a bit low maybe due to shape in comparison to normal ouds), the tuning pegs hold ok and they are much more comfortable than the friction ones in traditional ouds. The feeling of playing is smooth and overall quality is ok. There are some minor QC issues in paint but nothing affecting the playing or sound.. The instrument i received has a mat finish and not gloss as shown in pictures but i do not mind. It is a good value instrument for the cost

The quality of the Oud is very low. I was aware I'm buying a rather cheap Oud and I did so to kind of ruin this one with practice then get a better Oud but even with that in mind, I'm struggling with using this Oud. One of the strings snapped while I was tuning to (Arab Modern) tuning and the ones that didn't snap I have to retune them before every use some rotate to a higher pitch and some to a lower by themselves and it's very irritating. I don't know if this is supposed to happen to Oud in the 200 Euros bracket or if this Oud is just very bad quality.

Pleasantly surprised by good value for money and reasonable sound for a starter instrument. The only problem I had was waiting for the tuning to stabilise, but judicious application of talc helped, and things are now manageable. Admittedly, an ebony fingerboard and tuners would improve the sound, but given the price, this a a perfect way into a new instrument, and if I get to the point of being competent, I can always trade up. A great buy - very pleased!
