Great strings!

After experimenting with a range of strings, I have now settled on these as the best all-round strings for my playing, which is a mix of arco and pizzicato. They give that lovely rich, dark growl when played pizzicato low down; sing sweetly high up the neck; and give a good arco sound, although perhaps not as rich as some strings made specifically for that purpose.

The quality seems excellent and I have not yet managed to wear a set out, as I've changed basses a couple of times in the last couple of years.

Great double bass strings

I was using synthetic strings for years (Evah Weichs, Innovation Honeys, Velvet Animas) and finally made the jump to steel strings. I tried Spiro Mittels first but they had too high tension on my bass. I bought these weichs and the bass sounds great. The action was raised a little and this added a some thump to the tone and gave great volume. The best part is that I can leave these on for years now and they will sound great. A very worth while purchase.

Top quality strings!

These string come recommended by all the clued up players I spoke too, fit and forget pro quality strings way above my personal skill level :-)

Spirocores Rule!

I keep trying other bass strings for jazz but I'm always disappointed and come back to Spirocores again. I think the Weich ones bow a little better.
