Increase practice joy

Some times it is a barrier to connect to whatever setup you have just for practice, and it often at least on my part end up with picking up some guitar without plugging it in - and I'm quite sure it reduces my practice time as a result. So with the ToneWoodAmp I get that sweet feeling of room, reverb and space that is inspiring instantly and straight from my living room without any hassle. Obviously there is a design compromise with this ease of access that will limit the resolution of the effects, but it is multiple times better than without. Quite inspiring actually.

In a class of its own

The ToneWoodAmp met all my expectations. Saw the ads for it all over internet and finally decided to get one once a saw that they were sponsoring my favorite guitarist.

Everything about it is just superb. Once you attach the magnets inside of the guitar, everything just works. It honestly feels like magic to this day. It is feature packed and every time I used I feel like I have found my new favorite setting. I recommend buying rechargeable batteries for the ease of use. I'm using the tonewoodamp every time I play.

It is a beautifully designed device and is in a class of its own, there is nothing else like it on the market. It sounds fantastic and it easily justifies it's price. It is a great source of inspiration and I highly recommend getting it.

Best innovation

This is by far the best accessory for an acoustic guitar. It motivates me to play and practice more. Now a plain guitar for me is quite boring.

Solid piece of equipment

The tonewood amp is easy to install and provides a very unique experience to an acoustic guitar. The effects are really good, with the latest update you also can replace the drive with a chorus, which is much more usable. The buttons and interface are good, but I missed some options, like a tap tempo.

The tonewood amp also has an effects loop, which allows you to also play around with your existing pedals.

The down side for me was that the battery compartment is very tight, and depending on the batteries you bought, changing them is a hassle.

Overall, I am really satisfied with this purchase and I would definitely recommend it.

GerBard will be heard now with his classical guitar on the streets

Thanks to the tonewoodamp I can now amplify my classical Alhambra 7 in such a way, that my music can be heard. I can even amplify the tonewood amp with my small yamaha thr5.

Sound: tonewood makes the sound of my guitar really spread and bounce against the walls on the opposite side of a street. Great product for buskers! and... sturdy built...

A magic device

Fantastic device, you can take it anywhere and gives a little magic to any composition on my acoustic guitar. If I were to lose it, I would buy it back right away.

THIS WILL CHANGE THE WAY YOU PLAY AND WRITE ON ACOUSTIC

I'd been hearing about the Tonewoodamp for ages from colleagues and clients alike. I finally got my hands on an acoustic that had this unit equipped and it's honestly something you'd have to try to believe. Needless to say i ordered one the very same day and now i honestly find it hard to play without it. it's something that inspires in the most incredible and subtle way.

Sounds like heaven on a SelMac

I've installed a TWA in my SelMac style Gitane DG320 model.

The hall verb is basically what I need (Jazz) and the guitar sounds so freaking good is hard to put it down. It really sounds as if I was in a big hall. Super Jazzy feeling for solos a-la Joe Pass.

I'm using a shadow double piezo (to the body near both sides on the bridge. These are normally very quiet and need a pre amp, the TWA certainly amplifies them enough, I don't even need to have full gain/volume.

- The build quality is great. Very solid piece of gear.

- Installation is easy and yeah, the TWA is firmly installed. No real need to glue the X brace to my guitar.

- The notch filters to deal with the main resonances do a very good job.

- I recommend to unscrew the base at the battery compartment (about half to one turn) cause indeed Li-Ion batteries have a hard time getting in and out. After unscrewing those a bit they slide out without problem.

- EBL Li-Ion Batteries last at least 4 hours or more, at least 4 or five practice sessions of about an hour average.

- The effects are great, especially the verbs. The chorus is good too. The tremolo is basically useless.

5 out of 5. This is one of the coolest guitar gear I ever owned.
