This is a simpler, slightly less versatile (and much less expensive) version of Sabian?s Hoop Crasher and it allows the broadening of the palette of sounds one can extract from the snare drum. To do it one only has to place it over the drumhead. When the drumstick hits the center of the drumhead, its sound is only slightly dampened, but when the drumstick hits simultaneously the UFIP Snare Clang and the drumhead it makes a loud metallic noise that fits nicely in hip hop or industrial music.
